Peace in Christ.
The Lord Jesus comes “quickly”…that is, WITHOUT DELAY.
This is contrast to the many false prophets who are currently preaching that He DELAYS His coming. They are the people of the prince that “shall come” (that is delaying his coming.)
We are to affirm this statement (that Jesus comes WITHOUT DELAY) as John did “Amen”…verily of a Truth this is. This is a firm, trustworthy statement.
Rev 22:20
(20) He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly (WITHOUT DELAY). Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
The Greek word for “quickly” is “tachu:”
Neuter singular of G5036 (as adverb); shortly, that is, without delay, soon, or (by surprise) suddenly, or (by implication of ease) readily: - lightly, quickly.
It is the life of Jesus that will manifest in our current mortal flesh. This is our expectation. He that IS COMING shall arrive and NOT DELAY.
We are to keep His “daily” sacrifice (the Lamb slain) in our mortal bodies so that His life is made manifest/shining there.
2Co 4:10-11 KJV
(10) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
(11) For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
Rom 8:11
(11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (MAKE ALIVE) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
How will we respond to the hearing of His statement : “Behold, I come WITHOUT DELAY?” He will reward every man according to what his “work” shall be towards His testimony.
Rev 22:11-12
(11) He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
(12) And, behold, I come quickly (WITHOUT DELAY); and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Some will hear the Truth and not believe this and they will say in their hearts that “My Lord DELAYS His coming” and will begin to “beat” upon those who preach it to them...and many will join along with them in their evil responses.
Mat 24:48-51 KJV
(48) But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
(49) And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
He “rewards” them for their unbelief:
(50) The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
(51) And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
But we who believe and will manifest His life in our mortal flesh can then SHINE the light of His life to the people of the outside world. A “great multitude” of them shall see His light shine through us and will believe. They will come to that light.
We lift Him up out of the earth. We keep His daily sacrifice. IF ...IF...IF (a conditional statement) He is lifted up, He will draw all men unto Him. They are drawn to His light that shines in our mortal bodies. They will come to His shining light that shines through us. We are to be the light of the world.
Joh 12:32-33 KJV
(32) And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
We are to die with Him to the sin so that His life shall be made manifest. This lifts Him up. We stand with the Lamb (His sacrifice) with Him on mount Zion.
(33) This he said, signifying what death he should die.
Then the people of the outside world shall be able to “SEE” Him through us.
This manifestation/epiphany of His life in our mortal flesh is the revealing of the Son of man to them. The only way to reveal Him to them is the keeping of His “daily sacrifice” in our mortal bodies. We lift up the Son of man by doing so. Then, they will be able to SEE Him in us and a “great multitude” of them shall believe and be saved.
For God so loved the WORLD in this way: He gives His only begotten Son (whose life manifests in our mortal flesh to them) so that whosoever believes into Him should not perish but have an age-lasting life. We are the conduit of that Life of Jesus that manifests to them We are the light of the world. The world can then be saved...a "great multitude" of them.
The Son of THE (definite article) man must be lifted up so that they may SEE Him. When Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, all they had to do was LOOK at it and be healed. They believed in what they saw.
Joh 3:14-17 KJV
(14) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of (THE) man be lifted up:
(15) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
(17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
The Son of THE man (Anthropos). Greek: “Anthropos” - While the exact etymology is debated, it's often thought to be a compound of anēr (man) and ōps (EYE, face, appearance)
Man (Greek: aner) SEES (Greek: ops)with his eyes and contemplates what he sees. In this case, they will SEE the Son shining through us and will contemplate it. The Son appears to the view of the outside people of the world.....every EYE shall see Him.
Rev 1:7 KJV
(7) Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
He is not being "seen" right now because of the many false prophets and their misinformation that they are preaching as they have no understanding of the truth of the gospel and are not preaching it.
His “visage”…His view…is being “marred” more than any man. The people of the outside world are appalled at Him (and us) because of the false prophets who have “marred” their view of Him from their seeing eyes.
The earth became without form…the form of Christ…and void ….void of the knowledge of the glory of God. The view of Christ is currently being marred so that they do not see Him. The knowledge of the glory of God does not appear to them.
But if we lift up the Son of the man ( being exalted), they will then “see” Him.
Isa 52:13-15 KJV
(13) Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
(14) As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
He shall “sprinkle”…that is, startle…many nations, Their king shall shut their mouths at Him for which had not told them, they shall SEE. That which they had not heard, they shall CONSIDER.
(15) So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
That is what man... the “anthropos” ...does. Man will see and contemplate the remarkable sight of Christ’s light shining through us in their darkness.
Right now though, His "visage" is being marred and so they are appalled at us as we are NOT showing forth His view...His form to them. They are in great darkness because we are not shining the light of Christ to them. They have no knowledge of the glory of God as it does not appear over us.
