I may be way off the mark here, but I seem to remember something about New Jersey that had some Biblical importance to AV. It's been a while, so I may be way off course.

I believe Noah lived in [what is now] New Jersey before the Flood.

And if that's true -- (and I think it is) -- then anyone who says the Flood was global is wrong.

Else how did the Ark, built in New Jersey, get into the mountains of Ararat?

Here's a clear case of attaching the messenger and not the message.

Oh, please!

If you called her that to her face, she'd probably take it as a compliment.

Then she's talking about you, man. That super-speed movement of land generates too much heat.

I so wish she would come here and discuss this.

I'd be ecstatic.

What's there to discuss? Friction is friction. None of these 'mechanisms' work physically.

Friction has nothing whatsoever to do with the Flood.

If you're talking about the belief that the Flood caused the breakup of Pangaea, I don't believe that.

And the Bible certainly doesn't support it.

So you say. We'll see if that holds. (Spoiler, it doesn't.)

From her other videos I know that she grew up in an evangelical household with lots of exposure to YEC. (Two burdens I never had to bear.) Her video isn't about beliefs or the bible, just the unphysical things YECers make the Earth do so that they can pretend the evidence in the rocks, physics, and their literalist interpretation of Genesis are compatible. (They aren't, and the "heat problem" is just one reason why not.) If you poke around on her channel you could find her arguing with presuppositionalists (a personal weakness she admits to) on livestreams.

If you want to call her a young woman because you are an old, fine, but she is not a minor female (girl). Perhaps you are unfamiliar with higher education, but graduate students already have completed their 4-year college degrees and are typically in their twenties. (She's also married.)

Have there not been high school age students who skip high school and attend college and i am even sure some of these are probably working on a phd

Being raised in a christian home accounts for nothing

It does for continents racing across the mantle in a hyperfast tectonic motion.

Here is your worst nightmare Erika interviewing an academic on the interpretation of Genesis.

Watching ... ahem ... my "worst nightmare" now.

Thanks for the video.

I'll comment on it afterwards.

This guy Bart is starting to make me ill.

She's going to pwn him sideways.

And rightfully so.

In my opinion.

I wish they'd both come here now.

Okay ... I stopped at 10:14.

Enough is enough.

But thank you for posting that.

I'll check around and see what other videos she has.
