If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

(personally, I think you're perfect and beautiful and sweet and funny, but you know how you feel about yourself...so fess up)
Awww.....I love you, too, Deb!!

Um, which are we talking about, physical, emotional, or spiritual changes??
'Cuz I need work in all areas!!!!

But for sake of simplicity, I will say what I thought of first; I wish I did not have scoliosis. It hurts, limits my activities and makes my clothes hang funny....lol.
Although people are often surprised when I tell them that; you cannot tell without getting up realcloselikethis.

Is Vegas a frightening place to raise children?
Yeah, and I am a worry-wart mom as it is!!
Like any huge, overpopulated, stinky US city, there is smog, too many cars, people, crime, accidents, drugs, alcohol, and then you add to that, casinos with gambling, more alcohol, nude or half-nude clubs/shows, and the billboards advertising it all everywhere you go.
At least in some cities, you have to cross the "tracks" to be exposed to all of that. Here, it is almost everywhere, unless you can afford to live in the most expensive neighborhoods, and then you will see it when you drive somewhere else.
I just worry about my boys looking both ways at the crosswalks...pedestrian deaths are very high here.

We do have lots of Christians here, though, if you get to church pretty regularly. Lots of people coming to Christ to change their lives from all the ills of a transient, liberal society like this. I personally go to three different, but fantastic, spirit-filled churches. I will settle on one depending on where I finally settle to live.

What's your favorite day of the week?
It would have to be Saturday; it's when I have all my children. I used to have them M-F, but that changed this past year, so now I have boys on F, S, Sun. Girls from W-Sat. So, I love Saturday; even if we have to spend 1/2 of it at the football field.

Do your back problems seriously limit you on a day to day basis?
Not always. I mean I have a 3 y.o. and have to carry her once in a while, although my chiro said not to. Hard to tell a sleeping child that.
I do my chores and cleaning and carrying, all being very aware of my neck and back. I lift light light weights to keep my muscles strong and I have to stretch a lot to keep limber.
I just cannot ever do any X-games, lol, or get in a bad car accident. I do find that it hurts more as I get older.

Were you involved in any extra-curricular activities - legal ones - when you were in high school?
Ahahahahahahaha!!!!!! *Ahem!*
Sorry....well, no.
I was a geek first, but did not want to be one, so refuuuuuuuused to join anything geeky. Then, I ran with the stoners and none of them ever joined anything, so neither did I. Basically, I did get good grades in school because I liked to do the work and read, but then I found other things *more* fun.
See where it got me, huh.

whats the most favorite thing you enjoy on a night out on the town?
Well, I only go "out on the town" for special occasions, like when someone actually comes to Vegas that I know. Happens once every 5 years or so. Blah.
I used to party every weekend, so I have seen it all, but like I said, that was years ago.

I do love to go hear live music. Lounge acts are cheaper, but unless you know of the band, it is hit and miss if they are any good. The big name concerts are expensive, but if I had money to burn I would see them all. Going and walking around the strip casinos is fun just to see the sights, but you have to have good shoes, and it is hard with kids.
I do not gamble, but once in a great while, will throw a few quarters in a poker machine, for the game. Eating in a nice restaurant or one of the better buffets is great, too.

If you're celebrating a really special occasion with the kids, what kind of place do you take them to?
Well, if I'm paying, we go to fast food or a picnic in the park. I am on a fixed income, and even ordering pizza is a treat. The little ones like McDonalds', but that is a must at least once a month anyway.

If my boyfriend is treating, he likes to go to a sweet little diner in his town, or to IHOP. Everyone likes IHOP!!!

On their birthdays, they like to go to the Adventuredome at Circus Circus; it is an indoor amusement park with some really exciting rides and lots of stuff for everyone.

Talking about life with my best friends!!!

That, and some of the cutesy little things my 3 y.o. does, knowing she is the cutest of cute.
The boys can still crack me up with some of their wise-cracking.
My oldest makes these faces which, if I am driving, or otherwise NOT supposed to be laughing, actually make me start to cry, I get to laughing so hard.

Do you own any interesting artwork? :)
I do wish I owned more, but I was given some oils of desert scenes, I believe local, that are very high quality work, colorful, and framed in gilded frames which match my decor. There are 4 of them, all framed differently, and each scene is also unique. They are signed on the back by a local artist and are dated early '80's. I love them!!!

I also have an older children's book, by author and illustrator the same, which is signed in watercolor and autographed by the author.

I do have quite a number of originals by my daughter, Vanessa, who I honestly believe could possibly author and illustrate childrens' books, also. She has been told by her teachers and more that she has real talent!!!

Where do you get your news? (newspaper, tv, radio, online?)

What is one of your favorite "spare time" activities (i.e. reading, gardening, watching tv)?

If you're a tv watcher, which do you prefer - reality tv (Survivor, American Idol), sitcoms (no examples - don't watch them), dramas (L&O, CSI) or how to (i.e. HGTV, Food Network)? Or do you watch the older shows (Cosby, MASH, Bonanza) on Nick at Nite and/or TV Land?
