There was no shooting because they were discovered before the protest and their guns were seized (they were later returned). They were identified as "supporters of Patriot Prayer," which was the group that organized the rally. Whether or not they were officially connected with the rally is irrelevant. If we're using Antifa as an example, they are rarely (never?) officially connected to mainstream left-wing protests. They organize their own protests/counterprotests or show up uninvited to others' events.
