Xbox vs.PS2 vs. Gamecube: Who is the best?

I like the XBox and the PS2. I have both and play both. I think that the XBox has better graphics and you don't have to spend money on a memory card. The System Link play was much, much better than the i-link for the PS2.The i-link gave a choppy multiplayer experience (at least in ATV Offroad Fury 2). The PS2 however, comes DVD ready and you don't have to buy any special attachments. I have not actually played a whole gamecube game but I have played demos in stores and I find the controller and controls way too hard to figure out. I haven't played it that much though so I'm sure it is something that you get used to.

I can't really pick one that's the best out of the ones I own. I don't own an X-box (yet) mainly because there's not enough games out for it that I'd like to try at present.

As for the Gamecube and PS2, I play them both about the same amount, so I have to say they rank equally to me.

i personally am a huge nintendo fan, but sadly nothing can stand up to the x box...

even for the graphics alone, xbox rules all. (but nintendo has alwase been behind on graphics...)

Actually, of the 3, the PS2 has the least graphical capability. The GCN isn't that far down from the Xbox when it comes to visuals.

Why does graphics matter so much to people these days anyway? Man... back in my day we were happy when we could tell what the heck the pixillated blobs were we were fighting. Ahh.. 8 bits... those were the days.

Well I love my ps2 but honestly i feel its from a different era and therefore can't be compared to the other two. From the xbox and gamecube i think the gamecube looks best when in comes to graphics redenering specially since they got ATI to work on that thing while the xbox, although used nividia to create the graphics system, kinda doesnt cut it concidering it could probably do alot better than what we've seen so far. Gameplay wise its easier to use the gamecube but the selection in games is so much better on xbox. So having said that i think gamecube is best.

I go for Xbox all the way! Out of the three consoles, Xbox has the most detalied and smoothest graphics. It also has it's own hardrive to save game data

The thing I love most about Xbox is the fact that the games seem to be better in QUALITY. Not just quantity (suck on that PS2 ). I've always been a fan since Halo hooked me and with Halo 2, Riddick, NCAA Football 2005, Theif: Deadly Shadows, KOTOR2 and all sorts of other awesome games coming out, there's even more bringing me back.

(Well, most of them... there are a few by independants (read: tiny companys) that are terrible... but we don't speak of these. We use those as coasters)

As someone with a lot of spare time on my hands, and who lives in a house with all 3 systems and a good selection of games for each, I must say that I would vote PS2 then X-Box then Game Cube. The Play Station 2 has more games, and some superb titles, but Grand Theft Auto, Vice City and various other games which came out first on the PS2 are simply incredible.

If you want RPGs, PS2 is the best.

If you want the best graphics and load times, Xbox is the best.

If you want Zelda, Smashbrothers and Metroid, GameCube is the best.

if people think that xbox has the best graphics, i would recomend checking out some video clips of gran turismo 4 (and i dont mean GT4 prologue) and in my opinion not even halo2 stands up to it. but thats me.

sure the xbox has awesome graphics but not the best. but in saying that it is a relitavely new system, and im sure they could sqeeze more out of it.

Out of the consoles it has the best graphics.

I'm pretty sure H2 has superior graphics to GT4, just because GT4 is on highly dated hardware.

yeah my comment was based on what ive seen from the 2 games, and i havnt seen much of halo2. out of the games that have been released i think they (xbox) are still a bit behind. but as i said its still a relatively new machine, so they are still yet to get the full potential of the xbox.
hence why xbox is still my fav console.
