  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, gamecube, just because im nintendo hardcore, but to tell you the truth i dont like any of them.... SNES! lol, heres why: i just think that the mare realistic a game is, the more realistic the story has to be, and the more realistic a story is, the more boring it is, because the reason we play games is to get away from the realistic, right?

lol, maybe i just like repetitive techno music and flying turtles...

I sold my PS2 the other day. I was fed up with the disc read errors and was not going to spend $80 to fix it. The only plus side to the PS2 is that online play is free. Perhaps PS2 does have a few more games than Xbox, but they're nothing to get all hyped over.

I vote for Gamecube. I have always been a Nintendo fan, because the games are the best.
Xbox is okay, but most of the games i have seen (and this is just the ones ive seen) are boring and i find them unimaginative.

As for playstation and playstation 2, they channel out games really fast, but because of this, none that ive seen are very good quality. Except the ones that are for more than one console. (e.g Mystic heroes)
I always find that it is quality over quantity.

And Nintendo definitely has the quality that both Xbox and Playstation don't have. With games like Zelda and Mario and Pokemon (Colisseum and channel)
I don't think that anyone can beat Gamecube. (Remember just my opinion) ;)

i had a gamecube a while back but sold it... too many kid games, and last night i sold my ps2 for $125:) i like xbox games tho a lot of games make no sense because microsoft xbox studios spend too much time on sound and graphix other than the roleplaying plot of the game unlike sony, ps2 has good games but i prefer xbox, anyways i dont get it these days with gamers you go to the ps2 boards and u see all these wars about what console is best and dare say u own an xbox in there everyone jumps on ya, anyways back in the days it was all about the fun u had of just playing the games no matter what console it was, i remember having a sega genesis and my cuz's had a snes and everytime they came over we had a killer time playing mortal kombat 2 and sonic the headgehog ahh those were the days

btw cute doggie pic i just wanna cuddle that doggie :)

I own all three systems. I will name the things I find good and bad about each.

PS2:
-Terrible graphics. After playing xbox, ps2 graphics are painful.
-Great game selection. The japanese know how to make a killer game - and they do it often.
- I hate the controller. It's too small and feels cramped.
- Not enough virtual memory. The games are forced not only to be graphically simple but also simple in shape and dynamics.
- Memory cards are terrible.
- It has a DVD function.

Gamecube:
-Decent graphics.
-It has a lineup of great games such as Super Smash Brother's Melee, Windwaker, and others. The game selection isn't as good as the PS2's, but it has some extremely good titles.
- Memory cards. I hate memory cards. They are a waste of money and do not have enough memory.
- The disks are too small.
- No DVD function.

Xbox:
-The best graphics of the three.
- It supports dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. You cannot go wrong with that.
- The most virtual memory.
- A MASSIVE harddrive for gaming systems. No memory cards required, plus you can download new content off of xbox live and still have tons of space left.
- Xbox live is an incredible online experiance.
- The controller (large one) has a great and comfortable feel, and lasts for a very long time.
- Halo (2). 'nuff said.
- Games are quasi-limited, and I would put Xbox in last for the game catagory. That's not to say it doesn't have an excellent game selection, it just doesn't have as good as PS2 or Gamecube.
- System Link is an amazing system which is great for parties.

All and all, I would rate Xbox by far the best. The others are good, but Xbox has so much more potential gaming fun. All of the games for PS2 and Gamecube cannot beat a Halo LAN party with fifteen friends.

I personally like the Xbox better and it gets more game play from me, but I do own and enjoy all 3 consoles. Plus I suggest everybody should do the same, broaden your playing field, and don’t be like the old lady that was to scared to try something new and exiting. Own all 3, don't be a prude.
