Dear fellow WWJD Club members

I have come to confess that I have been a big fat failure.

failure.gif

In the last week I have been so unlike Jesus it is shameful. I ahve not been running the good race. Nothing big like murder, "just" grumpy, quick to anger, ungrateful, unforgiving, struggling to trust God (how insane is that?!) and stingy with my self, among other things.

My prayer life seems to have gone round the U bend.

Please pray for me to get back on track.

Thank you.

Oh Eldaah, Eldaah, Eldaah... you sound like ME! I have been known to ask God to scream it to me so I can have it LOUD and CLEAR.

Help me out here-- I'm horrible at reciting scripture verbatium. Wasn't it Moses (?) who sought for something, God heard his request, but it took 21 days for the messenger to bring the answer back from God?

Or am I really far off?????

Regardless, praying for you Eldaah.

I wish He would just scream it to me loud and clear. lol. Thanks for your prayers.

Is there something specific that I have to do to be part of this club? I expressed an interest a while back but I'm not sure if I'm part of it or not. I think it's a great club and would like to be part of it.

No, there's nothing special you have to do, just tell us. Welcome to the club! I'm sorry we didn't add you before. I think you said something about having your son join and I didn't realize that you wanted to join. Sorry about that.

Dear fellow WWJD Club members

I have come to confess that I have been a big fat failure.

We all go through situations like this, where we stray from our Lord. I'll be praying for you. That's one of the reasons why I like this club so much, I can always come on here and get encouragement and it helps me to stay closer to the Lord. I think that in order to maintain a good Christian walk, we need to fellowship with other believers. If I were to stop coming on here to this club, I can guarantee you that I would be flat on my face within a week. I personally need to have other believers around me or else I stray from Christ. I'm not saying that fellowship alone will keep you close to God, but it does help. Annaapple, I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you sister.

The Lonely Ember
A member of a certain church, who previously had been attending services
regularly, stopped going.

After a few weeks, the pastor decided to visit him. It was a chilly
evening. The pastor found the man at home alone, sitting before a
blazing fire. Guessing the reason for his pastor's visit, the man
welcomed him, led him to a big chair near the fireplace and waited. The
pastor made himself comfortable but said nothing. In the grave silence,
he contemplated the play of the flames around the burning logs.

After some minutes, the pastor took the fire tongs, carefully picked up
a brightly burning ember and placed it to one side of the hearth all
alone. Then he sat back in his chair, still silent. The host watched
all this in quiet fascination.

As the one lone ember's flame diminished, there was a momentary glow
and then its fire was no more. Soon it was cold and "dead as a
doornail."
Not a word had been spoken since the initial greeting.

Just before the pastor was ready to leave, he picked up the cold, dead
ember and placed it back in the middle of the fire. Immediately it began
to glow once more with the light and warmth of the burning coals around
it.

As the pastor reached the door to leave, his host said, "Thank you so
much for your visit and especially for the fiery sermon. I shall be back
in church next Sunday."

That's an awesome story Hereignsinme! Thanks for sharing it. Yes, just like that ember, we need to fellowship or else our fire will go out. We need to get more of the Word, or we will become cold, dead Christians. Thanks for sharing that.

We've all been there - only too often!
But:
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Praise God, His grace is always there for us, He always picks us up when we fall and restores us!
You are a new creation - He has given you His righteousness!

God bless you , sister - I'm praying for you.
love,
Sarah

Oh annaapple...
Ask God to forgive you. Ask those you have hurt during this time to forgive you. And most importantly forgive yourself.

The enemy is around lingering for the chance to trip us up. Look back and see where the tripping happened, and remain vigilent of circumstances like that.

HeReignsInMe thank you for posting a fantastic story! Is that not the best visual imagery or what?

Has anyone seen wolfman around? I remember he was headed out of town, but I assumed it was just for a few short days.

And when does spiritwinds come back? She's been on my mind lately. I cannot wait to hear what she has to say when she's back.

Praying for all of us today! :prayer:

Oh course you can join. Welcome :)
Welcome CrystalDestiny!

How is everyone doing? Any good news? Any bad news?

I see wolfman is taking a nice retreat! I do pray for a joyful time!
Thanks :)
I'm well this evening, only very tired. My children and I have been doing some spring cleaning, and I'm exhausted. We leave for Oklahoma on Saturday, so I'm trying to get a few things done before we go. My little one is doing well, but she sure is an active child (at 2 or 3 in the morning. . . .). I'm almost to my 7th month. I'm sure not looking forward to being pregnant during the hot summer, although I have been many times before.

Well, I hope everyone has a blessed evening, a blessed day tomorrow, and a blessed weekend (a relaxing Memorial Day, too). I don't know how much I'll be online since I have to get my family ready for our weekend getaway. We're coming home on Tuesday, so I can have some extra time to rest before we venture home. 7 children, 3 dogs, my beloved, and me. It's going to be a long trip going and a long trip coming home.

Spirit Winds

Welcome to the club CrystalDestiny.

WelcomeNewMembers.gif
I will keep you in prayer.
hi.. can I join,too??
You sure can too. Welcome.
thanks!! :)
Hope I could do this challenge...
With God's strength you can, none of us can on our own.

CF has a newspaper. I applied to be a columnist and they accepted my app. I'm working on my first CF column now. I'm trying to write something that will make ppl laugh and inform them about a topic at the same time.^_^

I'm very happy to be able to work in the newspaper.:)

They need more helpers, too. There are openings. Check it out.
spiffy, good to know.
If anyone is online, please can you pray for me.
I need God's help.
Thanks.
Praying for ya.

Nope, you can still join. This group is always open to new members. I'm glad to have you here and I hope to get to know you. I'll be praying for you daily.

Yes of course. It's great to have you here. God bless!

Spiritwinds, when the baby is born will you post a picture of it (Is it a girl or a boy?)? I'd love to see him/her.

I'm keeping you in my prayers sister.

*Announcer voice* Yes, we gladly accept you as a member of the WWJD club! It's good to have you here and I hope to get to know you as well. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Yes I will pray for you. You say you need God's help? Well then, you shall have it. He is with you. I'm praying for you Criada!

Well, I suppose I have to explain my absence for the past few days. There is really no way to explain it besides to say that, instead of being on here, I was wasting my time playing video games and sinning against God. I failed Him and and you all and I'm sorry. Not that I suppose you need me on here, but still I have failed you. I appologize and I ask you to forgive me.

I have since turned back to God and repented of my disobedience. I am God's servant and I will be wholly His. Please pray for me.

You are all a great blessing to me and I thank God for you all. Brothers and sisters, May God bless you continually!

Chase
I forgive you. And, I know the problem, I have it as well.
I have fallen of late, and could use prayer as well.

Chase, in so far as you need my forgiveness, you have it! You are a great blessing to all of us. And you are always in my prayers.
(And we may not need you, but we love you, and miss you when you're not around! )

And thank you for praying. I really need His guidance tonight - I have come to the end of what I can deal with, and don't know what to do! But you are right, He is with me, and He is more than able to sort this out. Thank you, and God bless you.
I agree there.
He will sort it out, and in the end you can go, wow that's awesome.

Just wanted to say
THANK YOU!
to all of you for being here and for demonstrating God's love! You are so very special, every one of you!

Last night I was very upset and scared - and this was the first place I wanted to come. Because I know that this is a group of people who will love, support and accept one another. And that is so special. Jesus is so evident in this, His love shines through you all.
Sorry I'm getting all emotional again! But I wanted you all to know that just knowing you is a blessing1
So thank you so very much !
God bless you all.
That is good to hear. :)

It's nice to see everyone (even if I am a day late!).

Eldaah praying for you. It's so easy to step away and fall into the sin of the flesh, but it takes a very committed and courageous person to step away from it too! You're doing awesome!

Criada, I'm so sorry to hear of the stress you've been having. I'm delighted to know He has helped you through it. He loves you so much!

And thank you HeReignsInMe for always keeping the list updated and ready to add more names!

I pray everyone has a weekend filled with love and peace (and rest for those who need it).
I had a good weekend, and it only rained on us once.
I will take the pledge. This is a really good idea Eldaah.
Welcome, it's good to have you.

How's everyone doing? There's not much going on in my life right now except that I found a mission trip that I might be interested in going on. It is a mission trip that goes to the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation, and it looks pretty cool, but I kneed to know more about the Agency and the trip before I commit to it. I have asked them for more information via email, but have received no reply yet. I'm gonna wait a couple more days and then I'm gonna call them if I don't get a response. I would love to go on this trip. Would you all pray that God's will be done in this?

I want to let you all know how much of a blessing you all are to me. You are all my friends and brothers/sisters in Christ. I love you all greatly, and I pray every day that God will bless you all greatly.
I will keep you in prayer, God will open a door for you.

Good morning-ish everyone! I hope all is well with you all. I have something to share with you all that I think God has laid on my heart this morning. I am talking to myself about all of this as well. I'd appreciate it if you would all read this. Thanks.

This is something I wrote this morning and I truly believe. Some of you may take offense at this, but remember, I am speaking to myself as well.

Imagine if I succeeded at fully giving my life to God! Imagine if I could live up to the pledge to do what Jesus would do! Just one person truly doing this could change the world forever. It could cause a great revival to sweep the planet!

If only I would give my all for the Lord! Imagine if we all gave our all for Him! Imagine thirty six people WHOLLY serving Him! Revival would surely sweep the nations into Christian fervor! The lost would be found! The backslidden would again be near Him! Many would turn their faces to God if only we would give ourselves wholly to Him! The whole world would be touched by this if only we lived what we preached. We talk about serving God, but we do NOTHING!
Oh Lord, cause a revival in the Christians of this world!

We must do something to reach this lost and dying world! We must reach out to our Savior and take Him by the hand, and then we must let Him use us to touch this world! We must do something for Him! I can’t keep living this comfortable life! I must step out of my comfort zone and touch the lives of the lost and the hurting!

If only the Christians of this world would give up their comfort and live for Christ! We must! I will serve Him!

If the Christians were made zealous, the world would never be the same again! Our Savior DIED to save them, but we do not tell them! We can’t even be bothered enough to tell them the news that could save them from HELL!

I can’t live like this anymore! I have to do something! We need to give up our comfortable lives and do something for God!
Don’t just read this and think “Yes, we do need to serve Him.”! Do something about it!
Will you serve Him? What are you going to do for the one who gave His only Son to save you? Will you sit back and watch people pass by on their way straight to the lake of fire? Will you recline and watch friends and relatives jump into the abyss? Will you watch the lost burn in Hell because you didn’t tell them? Will you do all this and then say that you love Jesus? Do you love Him? Then SERVE HIM! Tell others about Him!

I cannot go on saying one thing and doing something totally different! I will serve the LORD! What will you do? It’s all or nothing! Will you give Christ your all? Or will you give Him nothing?
How true that is, that is an incredible challenge, going out of our comfort zone is hard.

I wouldn't worry about offending. That is another big problem with the church today. "We can't tell them that's wrong or that they're going to Hell, it might offend them."

I like a good challenge :)
Welcome, it's good to have ya :)
Eldaah I'm not at all offended. I think it's well written-- truthful and purposeful. And I also think you have nailed it straight on the head with: I must step out of my comfort zone. To me it's exactly that.

There are many times I fail God by being too insecure, too nervous, too worried and do not go where I'm being led. And that is exactly what it is: stepping out of my comfort zone. Sometimes I remind myself it will never be a comfort zone if I can't test out the waters.
I agree there

Thank you, Eldaah.
You are so right!
I am at a cross-roads at the moment - and I will give my all to Him - whatever He asks. It's so easy to drift - thank you for reminding me!
God bless you.

Kanga - it's good to hear from you! I am praying for you and your family. God is good - He will bring you through this and into a safe place! Praying that you will know His peace and security in the hard times! God bless you, sister.
I'll keep you in prayer.

It's beautiful Eldaah. You have a gift for firing others up for God! You are God's cheerleader. That's a compliment, don't take offense. :) My gift is to teach. I do need to put myself in the position to do that more. Occasionally every Christian needs someone like you to come along and place God's fire underneath them - to remind them to take action for God. Thanks. :D

You ask what's going on in our lives. Mine can't be put into words easily. It has been a bit confusing and unstable lately. I only pray that I find myself resting in the care of the Lord when all is said and done. I'm sure I will as He and His grace are always with me whether I "feel" it or not.
I will keep you in prayer as well.

I gave a sermon once and the title was Comfort Zone/Facing The Giants, yes just like the movie, thanks Eldaah for your courage and for reminding me of what I should really be doing. May G-d continue to bless you and each and every one of us, and may we each be that vessel that G-d can use to reach out to others, to be able to minister to the lost and hurting, but most of all that we be willing to be used for His purposes, what can I say no offense taken here, I fully accept what you've written for me, mine and those that surround me, I humble myself before the L-rd.

I don't want to get off topic here but please pray for my son, who has been arrested and is in jail, his name is Rudy.

I will definitely be lifting this whole group WWJD Club in prayer.
:groupray:
It is a good topic for a sermon, and one that needs to be drilled into our heads.

I will keep him and you in prayer.

Recently, I posted and told you guys about a mission trip that I wanted to go on. Well, I just called the agency to ask them about it, and they said it was already filled. I'm sorta bummed, but if it was God's will He would have kept it open. He must have another plan, so I'll wait on Him.
bummer, but as i said before, He will open a door.
Thank you all for the prayers, I know they are helping. :)

The kids are showing signs of stress; nightmares and insomnia. And we haven't even told them what all is going on. But, of course, they can sense it.

A lot of things are up in the air. We're not rushing into anything and the waiting to figure out what we ARE doing gets tedious sometimes. We might move across the country too. The reason I'm considering it is because the kids would be able to see their father much more. His job is adding to a lot of their stress. He's gone for a month or more at a time currently.

I mostly need patience right now. Patience w/ my kids who don't know why they are feeling stressed, and patience w/ God and His plan for our family.

Bless you.
I will be praying for you and your family.

I was working in my garden just now, and God pointed something out to me (I do some of my best meditating, thinking, and talking w/ God in the garden). Anyway, I knew you all would want to hear about it. :)

It's that my kids are fired up about going to, and participating in church this summer. And, they are turning to God with their stress. They have been requesting that we pray at meal time more and more. They are also asking me questions about Jesus throughout the day. And their choice of bedtime story at night has been the bible lately. Praise God.

I've tried not to push thinking about and talking about God on them. Dh discourages it and tells them that I'm a Jesus freak bible thumper and he doesn't mean it as a compliment. So, I have had to wait for them to come to me with questions and requests. And, I just realized that they have been. Praise God that somewhere along the way they have learned that we can turn to the Lord first in all things.:prayer:
Awesome :) PTL.
Some times we can speak volumes without saying a word.

I have been praying a lot about it this morning, and I think (but I'm not entirely sure) that God wants me to be a missionary to the American indians. Like I said, I'm not sure, but I'm leaning towards that. I'm staying open to God's leading, because I have a way of fooling myself about God's will. I have a lot of trouble telling His will. I wish He would just come right out and tell it to me out loud. lol.
That's awesome :)
I will pray for guidance for you.
Doh! You're right, I don't even need to look it up just seeing "Daniel" rings bells.

See, I said I wasn't very good at that.
But you got the point across

Is there something specific that I have to do to be part of this club? I expressed an interest a while back but I'm not sure if I'm part of it or not. I think it's a great club and would like to be part of it.
Welcome.
No requirements to join. Well, aside from a commitment to God :)
But, without that you wouldn't want to join so yeah.

Does that even make sense outside my head?

Dear fellow WWJD Club members

I have come to confess that I have been a big fat failure.

failure.gif

In the last week I have been so unlike Jesus it is shameful. I ahve not been running the good race. Nothing big like murder, "just" grumpy, quick to anger, ungrateful, unforgiving, struggling to trust God (how insane is that?!) and stingy with my self, among other things.

Thank you.
God is right there waiting to pick you right back up, turn to Him and He will.
Just like the prodigal son, the Father will run to meet you.

We all go through situations like this, where we stray from our Lord. I'll be praying for you. That's one of the reasons why I like this club so much, I can always come on here and get encouragement and it helps me to stay closer to the Lord. I'm not saying that fellowship alone will keep you close to God, but it does help. Annaapple, I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you sister.
How true that is.
We are social creatures, we need fellowship. God uses that to build us up.

I shall be back
in church next Sunday."

that is awesome, that you for that.

God bless you , sister - I'm praying for you.
love,
Sarah
Amen

:prayer:
Very true words, it says the the devil roams like a roaring lion waiting for those he can devour. Notice that it says "like", he is not a lion, and he is defeated by the Lion of Judah. :)

hmm, I haven't seen that weirdo around lately.

and no I don't know when spiritwinds will be back.
