Wolfman, you are definitely king of the multi-qoutes! lol.
:amen: to that! ;)

You're so welcome, you don't know this but one time you lift my spirit and gave me courage and I know that was no accident G-d used you to give me that extra push I so needed that day and I truly thank you for it, my friend.

Melissa

WOW Melissa! That's so awesome of you to share. I need to take a lesson from that. There are times I have felt the same, yet have not gone back and told the person how important their words or actions were to me. I'm going to start doing that! Thank you for the reminder!!!!!!

Yes! LOL.........

Let's do a double :amen: :amen: ! We love you anyway wolfman!

Wolfman, lifting you up in prayers to our marvelous Father! And I'm glad to hear you had a nice time away.

I See Jesus

I saw Jesus last week.
He was wearing blue jeans and an old shirt.
He was up at the church building.
He was alone and working hard.
For just a minute he looked a little like one of our members.
But it was Jesus ... I could tell by his smile.

I saw Jesus last Sunday.
He was teaching a Bible class.
He didn't talk real loud or use long words,
But you could tell he believed what he said.
For just a minute, he looked like my Bible teacher.
But it was Jesus ... I could tell by his loving voice.

I saw Jesus yesterday.
He was at the hospital visiting a friend who was sick.
They prayed together quietly.
For just a minute he looked like Brother Jones.
But it was Jesus ... I could tell by the tears in his eyes.
I saw Jesus this morning.
He was in my kitchen making my breakfast and fixing me a special lunch.
For just a minute he looked like my mom.
But it was Jesus ... I could feel the love from his heart.
I see Jesus everywhere,
Taking food to the sick ... Welcoming others to his home,
Being friendly to a newcomer ... & for just a minute,
I think he's someone I know.
But it's always Jesus ... I can tell by the way he serves.

That is lovely, HeReignsInMe!
The greatest witness we can have is in the little, everyday things we do for others out of love for Jesus!

God bless you.

Thanks for sharing this, Hereignsinme! I love it when you and everyone else post things like this on here. These little stories are so wonderful and they make me think. They're little bits of wisdom that help to guide us through the day. Thanks for posting this.

I've still been searching for a mission trip, and I finally found another one that might be God's will. I don't know though. I have to call about it today and get more information. Would you all pray that God's will will be done? I really want to go on a mission trip, and serve God, but if it's not His will then I don't want to. Please pray. I love you all. God bless!

Praying for you, brother.
He will open the doors - your desire to do His will is wonderful, and He will honour it!

And praying for Spiritwinds and her family also!

God bless you all.

 Hi everyone

Hope you are all having a lovely day. It is almost  time here, but I just wanted to drop in and say thank you very much again for your prayers and support, esp. as y'all don't know me very well. Which makes me feel I should provide a quick synopsis...

As you can see from the icons, I am married and have 2 boys, aged 2 and 4. We would love to have more children, but were recently convicted to leave our fertility up to God. So we're just waiting to find out what His plans are for us on that front.

My DH was unemployed for 10 months after "taking a package"; I work as a high school history teacher. On Friday, DH started his new job  . It is unfortunately in another country - but Europe's small, so actually only about 3 hours' drive away! The kids and I will follow after the end of the school year. So he just left for the week and I am facing up to the challenge of managing everything by myself, after almost a whole school year fo having the luxury of a spouse at home helping!

Next year I will be a SAHM, which I am really looking forward to (it's a good job, praise the Lord!) To sum up: we have been abundantly blessed by God, our ever-loving Father, and all we need now is God's grace to get us through this last part of the process and the move.

I am not very stress-resistant, so I'm going to need all God's help to keep doing what Jesus would do; and an out-pouring of His Spirirt for me to show any fruits! Esp. staying patient with the kids when I'm in a rush is a REAL CHALLENGE!!!!

So, that's me. Eldaah - I hope you get clear answers about God's will with regard to mission work. What kind of areas are you looking into? (sorry if you already said, I just don't usually have time to read the whole thread :sorry: )

Question:
Maybe you all did this already, but what are your favourite Bible passages? Which verses / books do you turn to for inspiration?

I gotta go now. I'm gonna get offline so I can call about that trip. I might be on later to tell you all how things turn out. I hope you all have a great and blessed day!

Well, I called yesterday, but the person wasn't there and someone else answered. So, I left my number with them and am waiting for a call back. She said it might be monday. So, I'm just waiting.

Thanks for telling us about yourself annaapple. It's a lot easier to pray for someone when you know a little bit about them. Now I can pray more specifically about your situation. I have a question. What's a SAHM? Oh. Is it a stay at home mother? I'm so dumb sometimes. lol.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "What kind of areas are you looking into?" I'm sorry, could you explain a little? :sorry:

As to my favorite Bible passages, I tend to go for John. Especially John 16:33 "
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." I love that verse.

Oh, that's lovely. I'd never really noticed it that way before. By areas I mean what kind of mission work - at home or abroad, service or straight evangelism, if more service-focused, what kind of service etc Basically what are trying to do?

SAHM is a stay at home mother. It took me a while to figure it out too, the first time!

I also just want to say:

Praise the LORD

I was really worried about this morning, getting the kids and I to our respective schools on time, and thanks be to God, everything went so well it was scary! I got to school before I would normally leave the house. My children were sweet and compliant, and brave when left earlier than usual. I am so grateful to God, I can't sing His praises enough, because I know I so did not manage that on my own. I pray that i will have lots of opportunities to share the way He helped so that it may be for His glory.

On a sadder note, my good friend and colleague, Marie-Claire, told me today that her husband has been having an affair and wants to leave her. She has 3 kids, but more than that she really does not want him to go. She believes in marriage being forever, for better and for worse, sickness and health - she really wants them to work through it. It is a long story: he is also depressed and drinks way too much, but she sees that as sickness that she has to support him through. He just says he's bored, it is her fault and he wants out. Please pray for her and for him and for their marriage. Thank you.
