  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wow, that's a great idea. I've been thinking about reinstalling it again but have started the original campaign so many times that I didn't want to bother. Does it let you create a character of appropriate level to play the expansions or do they also start at level 1?
Shadows of Undrentide begins you at level 1. The second expansion (Hordes of the Underdark) continues that same campaign (you'll use the same character you played in Shadows of Undrentide), taking you all the way to level 40.

So get NWN: Diamond for a start?

I'd recommend it. You can play it with a top down, point and click interface or you can set up with a chase camera, "driving mode" interface where you control your character with the keyboard much like an MMORPG.

What do you guys think of the Conan MMO?
Looks cheesy. I'm not into the Conan universe, and PvPcentric MMO's rarely turn out well.

As for the OP, I played EQ for 6 years, WoW for 2, and now I'm on Vanguard. WoW is a very beginner friendly MMO, so if you are going to start anywhere, start there.

If you find its too easy/immature, you can always try vanguard for high magic setting, or LOTRO for low magic setting. Be warned though, vanguard takes a very powerful machine to run.
