with an artificial limb? You don't have to explain, but if you voted no, I am very interested in hearing the reasons why.

. I'm sure I'd eventually end up making some inappropriate Star Wars/Edward Scissorhands/FMA reference...

Not really, but I'm intrigued to know what inspired you to ask?
It is easy to say one way or the other, but I am really not sure. I have never been in that situation. I would like to think i wouldn't have a problem with it, but I really have no clue. I definately understand that the prosthetic doesn't make the person, and I would hope I could look past that and see then person for who she is.
Coach
Because of my brother.
He is a very attractive, popular, good guy. He has no trouble getting girls who are interested until he reveals to them that he has a prosthetic or they hear it from someone else. Looking at him you would never guess it in a million years. But as soon as some girls hear about the leg thing they lose interest. He has even had some tell him that his leg 'grosses them out."
And just so you know this is not something that he hides from people. He is very open about it. It just that he doesn't go up to people and say "Hey, my name is _____, I have a fake leg"
I was just curious how prevalent this was in society. I understand that there is a certain stigma attached to those who are physically disabled, whether it is intended or not. And I was just curious how others would respond to a person like that.
