Um...I don't even quite know what to say here.
Yisrayl Hawkins is not a man to be dismissed; he is on a mission from God to rebuild the Third Temple in Jerusalem. He has met with several internationally recognized VIPs like Shimon Peres, President of Israel, and even the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem along with other key figures; presidents and prime ministers from across the globe. This man has enough influence to attract the attention of President Obamas brother, Malik Obama to partner on a mission in which representatives from 22 different nations assembled at Hawkins compound to discuss the implementation of rebuilding the Third Temple in Jerusalem.
In fact it comes to bother me that a preterist position is relegated to be discussed where Unitarian positions are discussed. Where there is agreement on who Jesus Christ is, even with speaking of him as Yeshua or another known name for him, as the Lord the Son of God, the incarnation of Logos the Word that is with God and is God, who came to show us the way, for reconciliation with God, and died for us atoning for sins for that to be made possible, the discussion with this should be thought to be in agreement with orthodox Christianity. And this discussion here was in the forum where various world religions could be discussed anyway.
And what about the poll with this thread? I don't take part in the forum polls usually, but didn't this poll seem slanted, with the options given for responding? They didn't seem realistic or pertinent to what responses there could be.

Should Christians support the destruction of the Dome of the Rock and the Aqsa Mosque?
That's not a question Cyrus had to deal with.

Two logical years are in my head as to when this might occur. They are 2030 and 2070. If the political . spiritual .. economic . situation on earth changes so that the fulfillment of Ezekiel chapter 40 could perhaps occur by the year 2030 .. then the connection to the purpose of this group is obvious. Perhaps something significant may have occurred 2000 years before the year 2030?

I am fairly certain that this verse in the Jewish Bible is certainly not advocating that in the era of Moshiach that every body has to go to Jerusalem to observe the Festival of Tabernacles, merely that nations allow their Jews and Noahides to freely travel to and back from Jerusalem in order to observe Tabernacles.
Zechariah 14:17 "And it shall be, [that] whoso will not come up of [all] the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain."
As more of us come to the realization of how dangerous the melting and cracking and sliding that is going on in Greenland and the West Antarctic Ice Sheet really is, we will be more inclined toward supporting the Jewish people in their desire to rebuild their Third Temple.
Scholar Tuvia Sagiv has answered this.... in summary.... .there is lots of room for the same sized structure as the TEmple of Solomon without disturbing either the Dome of the Rock or the Aqsa Mosque.

Exactly..... and the rebuilding of the literal Jerusalem Third Temple should.....set in motion a literal stream of living water... that becomes a massive river..... and we need that ...... whatever exactly it means?!What is portrayed in Isaiah chapter 11 verses 6 through 9 and chapter 65 verse 25 with visions is also referring to that time when Christ returns and reigns in this world. There will be no hurt or harm on all of Yahweh's holy mountain, by extension it is everywhere the reign of Christ applies.

It would also make for a great tourist attraction that could possibly bring in millions of tourists dollars to the Israeli economy. Other than that, I see no real significant relevance either eschatologically or theologically.
Besides, our brother the Apostle Paul says we are not a temple of God, which would essentially make us the third temple...IMHO

As I've said other times and again, while some Christians have, both historically and presently, seen a rebuilt temple as an eschatological event; generally speaking a hypothetical third temple is, in Christian theology, irrelevant and insignificant. Having no role eschatologically or otherwise.
The only temple of significance in Christian theology is the tabernacling of God in Jesus, and God's people knit together as one body in the Crucified and Risen Jesus. A third, fourth, or fifth temple in the possible future millennia is of zero consequence.

This is probably part of why I tend to avoid watching Christian TV stations, especially shows like Jack Van Impe. They're mostly premillennial dispensationalists, which I think makes no sense. I tend to hold to an amillennial view as well, since it makes the most sense. As a side, I personally believe that there will never be a third temple, much less a fourth or 5th. If that idea was so important, then why is it never mentioned by Peter, who was one of the Twelve, and later on Paul?
The Temple standing when Jesus was here was destroyed, just as it said it would be, in 70 AD. To sweep that under the rug and say it's not significant at all and to look for some yet-to-come fulfillment is to completely miss the point of the Olivet Discourse. The end of that age (Temple sacrifices and the Levitical Priesthood) was winding down. Even more telling is the veil in the Temple being torn in two.
I think books like the Left Behind series is just bad eschatology, and I believe the Third Temple, the one not built by human hands, is the Church, and Jewish believers who have come to know Jesus as Messiah.
