Would the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple stabilize the climate???

Do you believe that God can and will give rain if Jews allowed to observe Tabernacles

  • Yes, this is a small miracle for the God of Abraham.

  • No, age of miracles is over or such miracles are a silly myth.

  • No this would cause WWIII, we'd all die and no rain needed anymore!

  • This prophecy cannot be fulfilled until AFTER Zechariah 14:1 occurs!

  • I am open to the possibility that this miracle could occur!

My apologies if I did a bad job with the poll questions. I actually have created several other polls related to this topic.

There is great complexity to the situation and what may come and what would come, that polls can't deal with. There shouldn't be support for destruction of the Dome of the Rock and the Aqsa Mosque. Whatever must be should be left to God. The chapters of Ezekiel 40-48 should have been carried out, even a long time ago when the Temple was being rebuilt before, it just was not observed. It probably won't be with rebuilding it next. So if it isn't, then it needs to be with Christ returning and with the restoration to the world that is then needed. Building the temple according to Ezekiel's vision first might not be done for the very reason that war could come from just starting with it. A temple will be built in Jerusalem anyway according to biblical prophecy, and even with likelihood of it now. Whenever it will be completed, Jews who are not believers in Christ will want to renew slaughter of animals there. But with Christ there he would not have that continue, and it will no longer be needed, with what he accomplished providing for all that come to him. In fact, we should then be vegetarian, no animal has to die for us again, it is not in the perfect design from the perfect will of God, with vision shown of restoration of such, and all animals being used in industry for society is with great toll on the world's environments with huge demands on resources beyond vegetable crops and with greater effect than anything on global warming.

There is blessing promised for those blessing the people of Israel. In any case the "anti-Messiah" would come.

Your questionnaire ignores the really key question:

Should Christians support the destruction of the Dome of the Rock and the Aqsa Mosque?

That's not a question Cyrus had to deal with.

Good point.

Tuvia Sagiv explains how the restored Temple of Solomon and The Dome of the Rock and Al Aksa Mosque…. can all fit in the Temple described by Ezekiel.

Yet with real fulfillment of Ezekiel's temple, all of chapters 40-48 are to be fulfilled. This isn't happening without the allotment of land to the tribes of Israel as shown in those chapters. There is a river to be flowing from the temple, too. So a temple would be built first, but fulfillment of those chapters from Ezekiel is not likely until Christ returns to reign in this world.

What is portrayed in Isaiah chapter 11 verses 6 through 9 and chapter 65 verse 25 with visions is also referring to that time when Christ returns and reigns in this world. There will be no hurt or harm on all of Yahweh's holy mountain, by extension it is everywhere the reign of Christ applies.

But…. doesen't Isaiah 66:5,6 indicate that a Jerusalem TEmple is built….. then the bad guy takes over for 3.5 years…….. then Messiah comes…….. then the full fledged Kingdom of Messiah on earth begins?

Isa 66:5

Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies."

How can the voice of the LORD….. be heard from the temple……. previous to there being a temple in Jerusalem?

This is why the year 2030 vs 2070 is so important….. did you know there is even a movement for Rabbi Yeshua- Jesus to be taken back into Judaism?

One of the possible implications of Isaiah 66:5,6 is that until Christians support the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third TEmple…….. the reign of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus over the earth……. cannot begin???!

2030 or a delay to 2070 for the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third TEmple……… and largely the choice is up to us Gentiles….. because Jewish prophecy states that Gentiles will support the Jews and create the political environment in which they can build their temple……. when the Third TEmple is actually constructed.

Scholar Tuvia Sagiv has answered this.... in summary.... .there is lots of room for the same sized structure as the TEmple of Solomon without disturbing either the Dome of the Rock or the Aqsa Mosque.

Exactly..... and the rebuilding of the literal Jerusalem Third Temple should.....set in motion a literal stream of living water... that becomes a massive river..... and we need that ...... whatever exactly it means?!

But.... Isaiah 45:4,5......... must be talking about a mere human.... .and could not be about Messiah Yeshua - Jesus?!

"For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:" .... surely this is referring to a mere human.... and cannot be only about Messiah Yeshua - Jesus?!

None of the above?

If the Temple were rebuilt it would be about as theologically and eschatologically relevant [for Christianity] as building a new gas station along I-5.

-CryptoLutheran
Yeah, my sentiments exactly.
It would also make for a great tourist attraction that could possibly bring in millions of tourists dollars to the Israeli economy. Other than that, I see no real significant relevance either eschatologically or theologically.
Besides, our brother the Apostle Paul says we are now a temple of God, which would essentially make us the third temple...IMHO

http://www.eliyah.com/lexicon.html

1Co 3:16

have ye not known that ye are a sanctuary/temple of God, and the Spirit of God doth dwell in you?
1Co 6:19
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Yes we are the temple. That puts a whole new perspective on things.

Anything is possible. But I don't see any reason to believe in any of what you mentioned, not without having to turn Scripture upside-down and take much of it completely out of context.

-CryptoLutheran

This is probably part of why I tend to avoid watching Christian TV stations, especially shows like Jack Van Impe. They're mostly premillennial dispensationalists, which I think makes no sense. I tend to hold to an amillennial view as well, since it makes the most sense. As a side, I personally believe that there will never be a third temple, much less a fourth or 5th. If that idea was so important, then why is it never mentioned by Peter, who was one of the Twelve, and later on Paul?

The Temple standing when Jesus was here was destroyed, just as He said it would be, in 70 AD. To sweep that under the rug and say it's not significant at all and to look for some yet-to-come fulfillment is to completely miss the point of the Olivet Discourse. The end of that age (Temple sacrifices and the Levitical Priesthood) was winding down. Even more telling is the veil in the Temple being torn in two.

I think books like the Left Behind series is just bad eschatology, and I believe the Third Temple, the one not built by human hands, is the Church, and Jewish believers who have come to know Jesus as Messiah.

Wouldnt the Jewish believers be that Church as well? Also, that understanding of the temple gets more complicated when you consider the individual person as the temple.

This is my view as well, futurist!

Multiple Ezekiel 37 events though adds a pretty amazing set of possibilities to the whole picture though???!

http://www.christianforums.com/thre...-resurrection-lead-to-new-time-lines.7935696/

Can the Ezekiel 37 resurrection lead to new time lines?

Matter of fact, the Jewish believers were the first Church, we gentiles were grafted into it. We need to remember that because paul made a point to tell us to remember it. Romans 11:18-21
In Sid Roth's book, The Incomplete Church, an estimate is given that there may have been 400,000 Messianic Jewish believers living in the province of Judaea at the time of the Bar Kochba Revolt.

Tsvi Misinai and The Engagement Movement present evidence that these may be largely the ancestors of the Palestinian people.
