Good morning, everyone.
As I sit here this morning at work, I am again thankful for the simple luxury of having heat. A small thing that many may take for granted because we're so used to it, but that is not the case for those less fortunate. As I was snuggling in my bed last night, thankful for a home and a bed with warm blankets while it was cold outside, it crossed my mind how many don't have this indulgent luxury. This morning on the way to work, with my car heater working (my last car's didn't), again I was thankful for this warmth. I'm sitting here at work, with heat and a hot latte to sip on, and again marvel at how blessed we can be in ways we don't even take time to think about and realize.
So for my thought of the day, I want to focus on thanking God for this large blessing, which may seem small because I have it so often I mainly forget about it, but is actually large because being without heat can mean life or death, sickness, misery, loss of children, loss of pets, loss in general. Thank you God for providing me with the ways to keep warm.
