Also, it is disheartening and embarrassing when a fellow Catholic proliferates sin and goes against the teaching of the Church.
No it is not assuming anything- it is from one Catholic to another. Your personal opinion is trumped by the unbending moral theology of my 2000 year old Church. That is of course assuming that what the Catholic Church says is sin..is actually what God thinks is sin. I mean bibically I donlt personally think there is much evidence God considered MB to be a grave sin.
“YOU heard that it was said, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say to YOU that everyone that keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." - Matthew 5:27,28
Jesus is explicit on this matter.

I follow the rules of the RCC, but you can't argue from the Catechism of the RCC in mixed company and it takes it off topic anyway.

With internet porn at your finger tips whether you are looking for it or not, masturbation is probably the greatest pass time for teenagers these days. Not to mention how television has gotten more and more liberal with adult content available to children. We are in a self serving society where sex sells and everyone wants to make a buck.
That's fine. Nobody is trying to change your principles, but the fact is that there's nothing scriptural forbidding masturbation; it's completely natural and healthy for the mind and body. But if you personally have an aversion to it, that's perfectly okay.

Healthy for the mind and body? According to whom? Not God. So as a Christian .. debate over.

Masturbation and pornography have both been around for a very, very long time. Masturbation has been a part of normal human sexuality as long as humans have existed. Pornography has been displayed in public places for thousands of years in various parts of the world. Public bath houses in ancient Greece were covered with pornographic frescoes, and erotic woodblock prints were openly displayed in Asia for hundreds of years.
That scripture said absolutely nothing about masturbation.
It's healthy for the mind and body according to pretty much every health professional and psychologist in the modern world.
The same could be said of cannibalism and infantcide- but the length of time something has been around says nothing objectively about it's moral value.
