WE are not the ones saying, "Genesis 1 teaches a globe earth" and "you can't believe in Genesis 1 if you believe a flat earth" - you are the one who is saying this.

You have been told that Genesis 1 does not teach the shape of the earth. You have had it all written out for you, and have even provided us with a link so that we can read it.
Yet you can't quote the verses where God says, "then I created a flat earth", or "then I created the moon and stars to shine over a flat earth", or "then I made creatures to populate the flat earth".
Of course you can't - they're not there.

So due to your failure to show us exactly where a flat earth is taught in the creation story, will you please stop saying things like, "they can't believe in a globe earth and believe Genesis 1"?

It is not the purpose of the Bible to teach the shape of the earth - full stop. I don't know how many times I need to say that before you understand it.
God is concerned that the people he made in his image sinned against him. He eventually sent his Son to die for that sin and to mend the relationship between them. Jesus was both man and God, was born, died for us, was raised again, ascended to his Father and sent his Spirit to live IN believers.
THIS is the Gospel, not the shape of the earth.
Jesus gives eternal life, not belief in a flat earth.
We are filled with God's Spirit, not the spirit of flat earth.
God is Creator, Saviour, Lord and king - not flat earth, Dean Odel, what's his name Dubay or anyone else.

Sorry, but I don't know why you say that, because I have said all along that Genesis 1 says nothing about the shape of the earth. I have never claimed that Genesis 1 teaches a spherical earth. On the other hand you keep saying that it teaches a flat earth. I say again, it says absolutely nothing about the earth's shape.

As for planets, planets were considered to be wandering stars. Indeed, that is what the word planet actually means. When Genesis 1 says "He made the stars also," it includes the "wandering stars" or planets.

All you have to do is to quote where the words "flat earth" appear in Genesis 1.
You can't do that - obviously because they're not there. But instead of admitting this you either change the subject or use dismissive phrases such as "it speaks for itself". (Note, no apostrophe.)

"Moon has its own light" Where does that say, "because the earth is flat"?
"Sun moves backwards" How does the movement of the sun show that the earth is flat?
"Be still and know that I am God", Ps 46:10 Does not even mention the earth.
"Earth has ends". As well as having 4 corners and being a circle? Like I've said before, what shape is that?

The words "tosh," "incinerate," "obviously" and "expanding" don't appear in the bible either, yet you used them in one of your posts on this thread.

But you say the earth is flat, so tell us, from which mountain can all the kingdoms of the world be seen? Mount Hermon at 7336 feet is the highest mountain in Israel. But even from the top of the highest mountain in the world, Everest (29,031 ft) one cannot see all the kingdoms of the world. So whatever the shape of the earth, the devil must have used his supernatural powers to show Jesus all the kingdoms of the world.

I totally agree with this but how come Genesis 1 mentions the waters above the firmament, Genesis 1 gives us pointers towards there being no such thing as space as scientists say it is today.

Scientists who believe the bible have various thoughts on what the waters above the firmament were. You and I have discussed this before, so I won't repeat here.
