• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In addition, I have four nasty PMs in my inbox from the same man over this, and I have had it.
I'm leaving CF. I don't know for how long, but probably a pretty long time. You've been wonderful to me, and I won't forget it.
I'll leave my e-mail option open, so that if you want to know where I still post, you can ask me. These are "non-Christian" sites, although many Christians belong, and people there have better things to do than constantly denigrate each other.
Plan..

I wish I had left yesterday, Michelle. The last ten pages of that other thread made the first one seem like a walk in the Celestial Garden of Roses by comparison, and now I'm taking my horrid mood out on on other people because that's how it always works out for me. If I don't get out of the way in time, I catch a bad attitude as though it were a disease, and I pass it right along. That's just low doing that, and I'd like to be able to go on living with myself, insofar as I manage it already.
The @#%& petsitting option didn't function, so now everyone is stuck with me until I get "paid" tomorrow and talk some poor slob into feeding Three of Eight while I'm gone. Any attitude adjustment I achieve will be gone like the wind if I return to a dead virtual dog.

Interesting posts, Leewood! I hope I can find them when I get back, or that you've posted something new and intriguing.
I wanted you to know that I did read them.

Thanks for the info....I'v always been interested in Native American spirituality.Thats pretty much how i feel about it....I feel a spiritual connection with the wolf and always have but I feel it will be know to me clearly when the time comes for me to know. How exactly do the Cherokee go about searching and connecting with their totem..if you dont mind me asking???

That's the spiritual part of it...the animal chooses you, you do not
get to choose the animal. When you find what you seek, if you
truly seek it, all will be revealed to you.

Plan9 still around?

Now and then. I cut back my time here, so as not to subject everyone to my snarky posts, not to mention my temper tantrums. I need to adjust my attitude while I still have a few friends left. I'm sorry, everyone.

Wow, leave to take care of personal buisness,

and aren't rude, unsolicited PM's against the rules?

Well, yes, but we were friends, and I guess what I initially posted hurt his feelings, and I wasn't expecting that. Had I realized, I would have refrained, and none of it would have happened. :(

So, Smilin; any comments on my latest domestic canine post?

LOL... attitude is a good thing
Friendship accepts people for who they are. You needn't change
for anyone. And bottling up emotions is unhealthy. Anyone who
doesn't realize a temper tantrum is well deserved to release emotions
instead of suppressing them haven't lived long enough yet to be
tried by life...have they? My friend.

So, Smilin; any comments on my latest domestic canine post?
Yes, very good post. Family, personal, and financial matters have
kept me busy as of late. I'll respond properly with a proper response
your observations deserve when my thoughts are in order and I've
meditated on it some more.

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19-21

First of all the witchcraft the bible refers to is NOT Wicca . Wicca wasnt even around then. And as i stated in another thread on the same thing, the culture and time period of ANCIENT greece and Rome was way different than today and that includes terminologies and there meanings. What was considered witchcraft in ancient greece and rome is not the same same as is conidered today. Much liek the fact if a christian were to go to a culture that has never heard of christianity or seen soemone speak in tongues and heal with the laying on of hands...if a christian were to go in such a culture and perform these thingd, the peopel out of their lack of knowledge of christianity would more than likely lable such things as witchcraft. Much like how christians lable anything they do not understand as satanic or of the devil.

Look, even if "wicca" didnt exist then, read this.

  1. A polytheistic Neo-Pagan nature religion inspired by various pre-Christian western European beliefs, whose central deity is a mother goddess and which includes the use of herbal magic and benign witchcraft.
  2. A group or community of believers or followers of this religion.
Now tell me this, how is wicca that includes witchcraft not having to do with what the bible talks about. And anyways even then pagan is sinful, a false religion.

First of all Wiccans to not go by or follow the Bible...second of all Ancient Greek and Rome's idea of witchcraft is probably not the same as todays definition....DIfferent culture...Different Time period.....For petes sake..in the middle ages the definition for a witch was that they could fly, float, not feel pain, and were all woman...so it just goes to show how definitions can change over thousands of years and between different cultures.

The word witchcraft in this verse is translated from the greek word "pharmakeia" which means drug which is where the word pharmacy and pharmecuetical comes from....how on earth this got translated into witch i have no idea....

EDIT: i forgot to add that is where it can also be translated as poisoner(as with the use of drugs) as i mentioned before(sorry i got a little confused between greek and hebrew, it was the hebrew after all that is "poisoner" not witch... i had to look it up again)
