I don't know Havoc... the second link in the post previous to Gunny's last one, was pretty entertaining, and therefore not entirely useless For one thing, I did not know that the upside up pentagram was a Wiccan symbol, I thought it was a middle ages Christian symbol, ala Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

I also did not know that the joy and fun of dancing naked around a fire was due to one of Satan's lies... nor did I know that phallic meant a man's poo-poo, I always thought it meant something else

I also found the article ironic given the writer's derision towards the Wiccan claim of being an old religion, given the fundamentalist slant... I mean, how much older is christian fundamentalism than modern wicca? 90 years, give or take...

Yes Gunny we've already gone through the etymology of the word "witch" and how it was inserted into the KJV of the bible for political reasons.

And so you quote more scripture.... for what reason Gunny? Do you think that that scripture refutes what I said about the mistranslation of the word "Witch" in the KJV?

people would probably take you much more seriously if you could organise your thoughts and present them in a logical straghtforward manner. Quoting scripture and giving links without any explanation to put them into context is rather an exercise in futility.

Actaully I do very little "attacking". I do have a habit of criticising people who just keep repeating the same old fundie propaganda without any response of their own, especially when they are trying to tell me that my faith is "false", "evil", "murderous" etc.

Gunnysgt either tries to stir up things (aka trolling) or he is a deeply afraid person, who fears to utter an opinion before checking with his pastor, lest it may go against a fundamentalist bible approach.
Looking at your post record, you should be here long enough to know that.
And I would trust a Wiccan to describe the proceedings of his/her religion far more, than a known troll, who happens to be in the beton headed fundamentalist corner of Christianity.
Since the Bible is believed in by Christians, using the Bible to prove to Wiccans how bad their religion is, is quite stupid. For this to prove, you will have to use evidence, all agree upon, not only a minority.

I knew abeautiful black haired ,blue eyed celtic woman.She believed in witchcraft but she a good mother to four children, all of whom grew up to be well adjusted adults.She always thought good of people and helped them whenever she could and that included the casting of spells.Nobody was harmed and she was well respected.Perhaps some have lost the ability to worship or appreciate nature.

You can bet money LAME-CH, that I'm not a man that is deeply afraid of anything but God. I'm nut sure who you are speaking about as a troll. I am a Christian man. I am a husband, father and a grandfather.

I am a Vietnam Vet that spent three years of my life in combat. Fear? You don't even know what fear is son. I am certain you have not earned the right to be telling a United States Marine Combat Veteran that he fears deeply.

I engage very little with the likes of you for it is a waste of time and energy to attempt to speak of God to those that are devoid of any spiritual discernment. I post links more for fellow Christians than those that reject my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I agree with Havoc on this.  no one has a right to attempt to make someone feel any less due to their personal beliefs. This is his faith, his belief and it is just as important to him as Christianity is to some of us!

I don't follow the same belief system as Havoc but I sure as heck am going to defend his right to believe as he does. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with different beliefs. I think his ideas of having the God and Goddess are just groovy, its not a point of view I share but I can respect him none the less.

Christianity is your faith gunny, my faith, but not superior by any stretch of the imagination...
