As a FYI just because one claims to be SDA, does not mean they speak for SDA's as it is in this case. The way this poster interprets Heb 4:8 and other scriptures is not how SDA's interpret them.Has the rest of Christianity interpreted Hebrews 4:8 the same as SDA does over the last 2000 years? If not then it's an interpretation exclusive to a sect that started in the mid 19th century.
Sorry Him, once again you are wrong. Here is a post I tagged you and others:You posted with out quoting or tagging anyone.
No, it has never been answered. Why can't you be truthful and either show us where God has ever demanded Gentiles to observe a day. If you cannot produce some text with such demands, then you and others that say you keep the Sabbath have no right to try to impose your Sabbath keeping made-up beliefs on others. And It was answered. Over and over again.
That is not a tag. There is no link to me to notify me. I got no notification.Him, SB, and other Sabbath observers, you seem to believe we all must be Sabbath observant, the one given to only one nation on Earth,
Commentary on Heb 4 and Matt 20 have been posted numerous times. No, it has never been answered. Why can't you be truthful
Heb 4 is written to Jews. There is not one verse in the entire chapter that would indicate the God has demanded Gentiles to observe Sabbath. Please explain where in Matt 20 where God tells Gentiles to observe the Sabbath. Have I missed something? Below is the chapter for you to find something that would indicate that Gentiles have been instructed to observe the Sabbath.Commentary on Heb 4 and Matt 20 have been posted numerous times.
There is neither Jew nor gentile.Heb 4 is written to Jews
The Jews observed the Sabbath but failed to enter God's Rest.Premises:
1. The Sabbath was a part of the Mosaic Law and of the Mosaic Law only.
2. The Law was only for Jews, since Moses till Christ.
3. Even the book of Genesis was a theological part of the Mosaic Law and is not literal (namely in its creation account).
If these premises are all true, we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath.
Such as?There has always been a Sabbath keeping people in God's church.
Sorry it is Matt 24 where Jesus expects His followers to still be keeping the Sabbath until His return to gather the electPlease explain where in Matt 20 where God tells Gentiles to observe the Sabbath.
The information is out there. You can start here , it seems unbiased.Such as?
You made the statement that there's always been a Sabbath keeping people in God's church. So I'm asking you, not a PDF I presume you didn't write, such as?The information is out there. You can start here , it seems unbiased.
As God did from His is a direct comparison. God ceased, stop working on the Seventh Day. So we who have entered into his rest which is the Gospel, cease from our work. The ceasing from work is physical not spiritual. God did not enter a spiritual rest. He is Spirit and He is our Spiritual rest through Christ. For it is He that works in us both to will and do His good pleasure. He ceased, stop working. So we who have entered into His Rest, which is the Gospel cease from our daily work. But now through the Rest. the Gospel of Christ we can keep it holy. If we heed to His voice. For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Look for yourself or not.You made the statement that there's always been a Sabbath keeping people in God's church. So I'm asking you, not a PDF I presume you didn't write, such as?

Yes, I picked up on that. From now on I'll just say Sabbatarian. On the rare occasions I get into one of these repetitive Sabbatarians vs all the rest of Christianity debates. As a FYI just because one claims to be SDA, does not mean they speak for SDA's as it is in this case. When someone doesn't have firsthand knowledge or evidence to substantiate their claim, or can't even answer a simple question about it, they usually deflect with 'look it up for yourself'.Look for yourself or not.
I am not going to cut and paste and reference it when you can read the source yourself. Which one should do even if I was inclined.
There others resources out there also. Have fun.
Take care.
Why label at all? Sabbatarian? I find that offensive. I am a Christian plain and simpleYes, I picked up on that. From now on I'll just say Sabbatarian. On the rare occasions I get into one of these repetitive Sabbatarians vs all the rest of Christianity debates.
That is funny. A link was posted with references. Look for yourself or not. When someone doesn't have firsthand knowledge or evidence to substantiate their claim, or can't even answer a simple question about it, they usually deflect with 'look it up for yourself'.
I'm not calling anyone a Sabbatarian, I'm referring to Sabbatarian doctrine. As in 'does that interpretation exist outside of Sabbatarianism? Or Dispansationalism? Or Calvinism?' Etc.Why label at all? Sabbatarian? I find that offensive. I am a Christian plain and simple
Of course you are. With the exception of some fringe group here and there, seventh day sabbath keeping has never been practiced in Christianity in the last 2000 years. And it was virtually unheard of as a Christian practice until it was popularized by Ellen G White in the mid 19th century. And then a somewhat larger fringe developed. That is funny. A link was posted with references. Look for yourself or not.
I am done with you in respect to this.
