Why the Sabbath is a moral commandment

All here told to Israel. Again, provide a verse that says that Abraham kept the sabbath.

You would need to prove when we are told Abraham kept God’s commandments, that the Sabbath is not one of God’s commandments, when God said it is. Deut4:13 Exo20:6 Exo 20:8-11

Already did. One statement that Abraham kept commandments but no mention whatsoever in the whole of his story that he worshipped God on the sabbath is a problem for you not for me. The commandments that he kept were for circumcision which is all over his biblical story. You are adding to the scriptures.

The Ten Commandments were given to Moses 430 years later. How can Abraham keep the commandments that he did not have? Exodus and Deuteronomy were written by Moses so the audience is Israel not Abraham or the Christian church. These verses that you keep posting do not help your case.

You guys are the ones condemning the majority of professed Christians for worshipping God on the “wrong” day so the burden of proof is all on your sect. This belief is complete nonsense.

It is your burden of proof to support your argument that the sabbath was instituted at creation when there is no scriptural proof that the sabbath was kept before Moses. Please post a verse that shows the pre Moses people including the Israelites held in captivity kept the sabbath. Please post a verse post crucifixion that shows that the Christian is required to keep the 4th commandment. I challenge you and your sect to provide the verses.

That's easy, God said so plainly in His Testimony. I am working on a post that shows the principles of the Ten Commandments starting way before God codified them. Why we see verses like this before Mt Sinai Exo 16:26-28 and of course what God said plainly....

Exo 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

There were a lot of Sabbaths before Mt Sinai. The seventh day and the Sabbath are interchangeable according to God. Why in almost every ancient language Saturday literally translates into Sabbath.
