Why teach creationism in public school science classes?

If your "teaching" is going to involve the same kind of content as you post on these forums, then it will engender its own disrespect - deservedly.
Then let someone else teach it -- just teach it, for crying out loud.

It's not that hard; but I am fond of saying that you guys' can't understand it, yourselves; let alone teach it.

But just like any other subject, the teachers have to learn it first.

The reason why I referred to your responses specifically in my reply was that there have been several suggestions from people already of how to teach it.

The problem is you've whined at every suggestion and insist that the only way to teach it is your way; where opinion is promoted undeservingly to fact and the standard of argumentation is only on the level of telling things to take a hike.

Do you realize, Cabal, that what I'm talking about is comparable to about a single page out of a history book?

Maybe about 10 minutes tops?

Yes it is what you asked.

You said:
Do you think that's what Jesus would want to do, if He was here right now?

Teach Islam in a public school in America?

If you're going to berate people about not answering questions, then at least remember what you asked.

Of course not -- nothing ever is relevant, is it?
What does what you think Jesus would do have to do with anything in a scientific subforum?

"Page of a history book" how, exactly?

Are we talking purely about the quantity of content, or a proper historical analysis, where opinion on supernatural events is not treated as fact?

Because if you do that for one religion, you'll likely be needing that for all of them - and you've been whinging at that suggestion for the entire thread.

It is not appropriate to teach creationism as historical fact when there is no evidence whatsoever for it. How accurate a teacher may be in the semantics and internal consistency of the idea does not matter when it does not measure to reality. The only real standard and therefore pragmatically, the highest standard.

It's not that hard; but I am fond of saying that you guys' can't understand it, yourselves; let alone teach it.
We understand it. We reject it. You consider the rejection of your ideas as not understanding it which is ultimately because you view reality as good vs. evil and consider any rejection of what you think as real as somehow misdirected, or ill-intented.

Nice -- do you happen to have an answer?

No one you're asking is going to answer a question regarding what Jesus would want because we know you're going to use it as an example as what should be (whatever you think Jesus would want) despite none of us giving a hoot what your Jesus guy would want and none of us believing he's a messiah as if that should even matter anyway.

We aren't going to answer questions loaded with irrelevance.

It would be the same thing if we were asking you if you think FSM would approve of your opinions.

This might be unwarranted, but I have to get it in before it ends - I just checked "New Posts" and one might say that with all the criticism AV is literally taking a deep breath and counting to 10! :p
Counting to 10 ???

I just made 200 posts in 9 minutes.

That's not what I asked -- but it is what I expected -- (viz., no answer).

Simple YES or NO questions are too hard for you guys, aren't they?
What you're a lawyer now  No courtroom theatrics will impress us unless you have something interesting to show us :p;)^_^^_^^_^

So you'll learn to respect my position?

I accpept 95% of 'your' science, and even hold science up to a Higher Standard than you guys do.

Do you accept 95% of 'my' theology, and hold the Bible up to an equally High Standard?

I respect your position. However, this being a discussion thread in a discussion board, I reserve the right to point out when I believe you're wrong and why.

And actually, I hold the Bible to a much higher standard than you do.

Indeed -- the answer is "I don't give a rodent's posterior what he'd want taught."

Creationism is mythology -- and when I choose to teach about it, I will teach it as mythology until someone with a point convinces me it's not, or someone who matters forces me to stop.

You, AV, fall into neither of these categories.

its quality shows.
Actually, it was quite accurate.

I made a few mistakes, but then I leave them there, so when the Pharisees show up to accuse me of using a bot, I can point to these mistakes, which exonerate me.

Surely by now you realize, AV, that you're beneath the Pharasee's notice.

I got one or two that follow me around and make comments.

Just like Paul in the book of Acts, when he went into a city -- it wasn't long before his stalkers showed up to undermine everything he said; then he would have to write a letter (epistle) to the church there and undo the damage they had caused.

Bots can't make "mistakes". Yeah, sure. You AV either really don't know what computers can do, or you are playing fool to make others believe you.
