I’m questioning you.

You seem to want your cake and eat it too. You want the above mentioned babies to be pre-destined. Yet you want free will for yourself. You can’t have both

What you want, you can't have. What you need, only God can give you that. Why can you not just rely on God that his decisions are just? After all, he created you (and don't say "no, my mommy and daddy created me" - i think I already know your cheezy come-backs)

no the people who do not follow Jesus' teachings are not christians

I know, I know ...I'm beating a dead horse with this one since it's a question that's been raised and all but ignored many times; however, since Jesus never breathed a word about homosexuality then how is one following Jesus' teaching by being against homosexuality?

Would someone attempt to satisfactorily answer this question once and for all?

I suppose the argument would be God created a natural order and all that.

Jesus was the God of the Old Testament. And the Old Testament declares that a man shall not lie with a man as with a woman. Period.

I think a more accurate translation is that a man should not rape another man.. but I am no Hebrew scholar.

Actually, the 'cheeziest' comeback from an adult would have to be "God made me." Just think about it, psalm 1:3. :)

But, since that appears to be your belief (that we're here without input from mom and dad) then God obviously made people 'gay', and heterosexual, and blind, and deaf, and lame, and ...

I believe that he meant, in any way, shape, or form, kinda thing. I mean, otherwise he would just come out and say it. I think the bible term "lie;lay" means to have any type of sexual interraction with another human being. When he said that man shall not lie with another man as a woman, he meant, in any way. Not only rape.

I'm starting to think that you guy's just want a God who will say that what you are doing is OK. And by doing so, you are idol worshiping. But you will sooner or later find out that the God you worship is dead. As dead as the stone people of the bible would bow down to. But the God I worship is unseen. Only witnessed by the Spirit.

No! God did not make you gay. Our nature of sin was important so that we could show God that we choose Him and not our nature. We are to rise above the challenges we are given, and that includes our weaknesses. Tell me, what is easier for you. To be gay? Or to follow God?

But you do have to constantly state your case to anyone and everyone who opposes you, don't you. Why are you really here? You don't like yourself very much do you?

Why are you here?

I find it interesting to debate people over issues of ethics and morality. I like seeing what people say and, yes, I do tend to talk a lot. It's fun for me.

Then you don't really care about standing up for gay rights. You just said it yourself. You like to debate. <staff edit>

I'll never win the annual CF popularity contest now!

I like to debate, yes, but that doesn't mean I randomly pick positions to debate. I believe there to be no legally sound reason why homosexual marriage should not be allowed in the US. Every reason that is brought up ties into religious beliefs somehow and forces the person to admit that they value themselves and their values over the freedom of others. To me that's about as selfish a position as one can take.

But don't you see why so many oppose this? Because the world is at war with Satan. Who's side do you think you are on?<staff edit> Because if you are not on God's side, then you are on Satan's side, or somewhere in the middle. Either way, there will be a war, and if you are in the way, watch out. Pick your side now, and choose to stand somewhere. If you want ever lasting life and love, choose Christ. If you want to have your way for a little while (love men for about 70 more years and then die), then choose Satan. But, Satan does not love you. He does not care about you. He wants to see your ultimate destruction. And you are just about as close as it gets.

The English version says 'lay with'... but it is not the same word as is usually used for that, I think. You'd have to check the Hebrew though, I haven't yet.

Um... I am a Christian... and, I think would agree with you on most things. I am not arguing that homosexuality is right, simply that it isn't a choice, and sometimes, God doesn't appear to want to change our nature.

Again, I don't believe Satan is anything but an agent of God, so there are no sides, but that's neither here nor there.

I see that God saw fit to give men free will, and give His commands to follow. He didn't FORCE men to follow those commands, God gave those commands so that men could choose to follow them. You would usurp that free will and force yours upon others. That is not following God, that is taking away one of the very things that define humans.

Oh, that's right. Sometimes, he does harden our hearts for greater purposes. Like he did with Moses, right? I forgot about that.
