Yes, I know that Jerusalem is also called the holy mountain. That does not mean there is also not a mountain in heaven.
Matthew 4:8
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
There is no mountain on earth so high as to be able to see all the kingdoms of the world. One assumes that included future and past kingdoms. So that mountain was spiritual in nature.
Revelation 21:10
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
That was also a mountain. Yet since all mountains on earth were made low and shaken down by the time New Jerusalem descends this super high mountain was not on earth either. Remember John was carried away to heaven to see all these things.
Ezekiel 1:4 NASB1995
[4] As I looked, behold, a storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with
fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like
glowing metal in the midst of the fire.
[7] Their legs were straight and their feet were like a calf’s hoof, and they gleamed like
burnished bronze.
[13] In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like
burning coals of fire, like torches darting back and forth among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was
flashing from the fire.
[16] The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like sparkling
beryl, and all four of them had the same form, their appearance and workmanship being as if one wheel were within another.
[22] Now over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, like the
awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads.
[26] Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like
lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man. [27] Then I noticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like
fire; and there was a radiance around Him. [28] As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding
radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.
Ezekiel 10:1-2 NASB1995
[1] Then I looked, and behold, in the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim something like a
sapphire stone, in appearance resembling a throne, appeared above them. [2] And He spoke to the man clothed in linen and said, “Enter between the whirling wheels under the cherubim and fill your
hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim and scatter them over the city.” And he entered in my sight.
Ezekiel 28:13 NASB1995
[13] You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The
ruby, the topaz and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. On the day that you were created They were prepared.
Ezekiel 28:16 NASB1995
[16] By the abundance of your trade You were internally filled with violence, And you sinned; Therefore I have cast you as profane From the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the
midst of the stones of fire.
Psalms 104:4 NASB1995
[4] He makes the winds His messengers,
Flaming fire His ministers.
Here's another section:
So Moses climbs an earthly mountain to reach the place in which he gets the 10 commandments, then Moses walks down the mountain and says the following:
Deuteronomy 5:22-27 NASB1995
[22] “These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly at
the mountain from the midst of the fire, of the cloud and of the thick gloom, with a great voice, and He added no more. He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me. [23] And when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, while the
mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders. [24] You said, ‘Behold, the Lord our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from
the midst of the fire; we have seen today that God speaks with man, yet he lives. [25] Now then why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any longer, then we will die. [26] For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the
midst of the fire, as we have, and lived? [27] Go near and hear all that the Lord our God says; then speak to us all that the Lord our God speaks to you, and we will hear and do it.’
[29] Oh that they had such a heart in them, that they would fear Me and keep all My commandments always, that it may be well with them and with their sons forever! [30] Go, say to them, “Return to your tents.” [31] But as for you, stand here by Me, that I may speak to you all the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which you shall teach them, that they may observe them in the land which I give them to possess.’
[33] You shall walk in all the way which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess.
And before Moses gets up the mountain it says:
Exodus 24:10 NASB1995
[10] and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself.
Pavement of sapphire.
All this brightness, crystals and stones, fires etc.
All it's doing is describing God's holy place and the holy cherubim, the garden of Eden which is atop holy Mt Sinai/Zion/tsaphon depending on what chapter of the Bible. And Eden is atop that mountain.
Ezekiel 28:13-14 NASB1995
[13] You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. On the day that you were created They were prepared. [14] You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire.
That's all there is to it.
No reason to Invent a second Eden when the Bible gives no indication that there is more than one. Eden is Holy Space. When Moses goes up the holy mountain of fire and sees brilliant crystal like lapiz lazuli, Moses is not time traveling to some prophetic futuristic place. He's simply going up, essentially to God's holy space, that is Eden, to receive the 10 commandments.
