Why is God so hidden? Why must we seek Him to Find Him?

What is there to worry about? Will your worldview collapse if you answer some questions?

We are not in the same world, your road is different than mine. You see only whats in front of you. I see with the eyes of my heart. Science wont save me from death or loneliness. The Lord comes in my heart and shows me another world. Its just as real as anything else i have seen. Politics for example are futile wastes of mankind's hope. They are not real and have never did anything for me. Perhaps science has value, but it will not give me eternal life. The Lord gives me a whole new world to explore, a spiritual one. In my heart is world of wonder. I wish you would see it too.

You answered nothing. You made another series of unsupported claims. That Satan 'wants faith'. That 'superiors' want faith. But you offer no evidence to support your claims!

Hint: that is not an answer!

A king wants the faith of his followers.
What kind of evidence do I need to say that?

Sounds kinda like wishful thinking.
Science wont save me from death or loneliness.
I don't think anyone ever claimed it would.

How will religion give you "eternal life"?

Perhaps I cannot see it, as you only imagine it to be there.

A king wants the religious faith that you people peddle?

He wants to be invisible, but still have people follow him?

He wants for there to be no evidence of his existence, but still have his subjects bow down to him?

Who are you trying to fool?

What will you gain in this discussion? Will you save humanity from religion? Friend, you cannot save that which is already saved.

Hopefully, what I will gain is a direct answer to my question, rather than bluster, prevarication, obfuscation and retreat!

Oh, and the people who will "save humanity from religion" won't be people like me - it will be the religious themselves! As each one of YOU casts off the superstitions of the ages (as you are in ever-increasing numbers), then religions become weaker and weaker. WE don't have to do anything - we just have to wait.

A human king can not do it.
God can do it (by definition). Nobody is fooled.
There are more theists than atheists in this world, then and now. You should respect that fact.

A human king can not do it.

Then why say he does!!?

God can do it (by definition). Nobody is fooled.

God can be hidden? I couldn't agree more! And, yes, "nobody is fooled"!

There are more theists than atheists in this world, then and now. You should respect that fact.

So what? What does that have to do with the issue I raised? And who says that 'truth' is determined by vote? A large majority of the earth used to believe that the planet was flat. But, as we matured as a society and began to think rationally, we came to the realisation that 'popular belief' can frequently be in error!

The problem is that your realism is an illusion. You believe rational thinking is about denying your heart and embracing meaninglessness. You count the age of rocks and then die, and then its all meaningless. You actually argue to prove how meaningless your existence is. That is science?

The man who admits that he pays homage to a "hidden" being, for whose existence there is no evidence, tells me that my thinking is illusory?

Moreover, he can't tell me why I should value his belief in 'hiddenness'. In fact, he runs from the question.

There is evidence. Its spiritually discerned.

You shifted the goalpost too fast and too much.
Bye.

Science cannot disprove Gods existence.

:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh:

Science also can't disprove goblins, leprechauns, centaurs, viking gods, pink unicorns and 7-headed dragons.

Burden of proof, have you ever heared of it?

Is it too much to ask then, that science not mock what they cannot disprove?

Yes.

Yes.

Unlike goblins, there is a logical theory for Gods existence.
