I answered, but you said I did not.

I answered, but you said I did not.
What is what the OP is doing. And I have provided the answer according to Christian theology.
I see it as my victory.![]()
Yes I'm sure you do. But illusory thinking can never take the place of evidence and logic. You pluck claims from the air and expect people to simply accept them. Only in the arena of religious observance do people get away with such intellectual dishonesty.
I follow the truth. Dishonesty goes against my grain. Your perception is blinded by misconception.
I ask just one straightforward question; viz:
Why is it that the principles of openness and honesty, so highly prized in all other human endeavours, are cast aside when it comes to religious observance, where hiddenness and lack of evidence are preferred?
NONE of you have answered this question. Instead, a combination of preaching and changing the subject. Why is that, do you think?
By "in a rational manner", do you mean "unquestioningly"?

What do i think? I concluded that you were not interested in discussing faith in a rational manner.

You claim to value honesty and yet here you are, obfuscating.
Wouldn't a more honest, open response be "I have no answer to your question"?
Obfuscating is not the correct word. That's actually what you are currently doing. You are hiding the fact that you cannot disprove faith, therefore you yell at it, like an angry person, only you don't raise your voice, you instead use incessant wrangling.
I'm simply asking a question which you refuse to address.
Now, as I said earlier, if you were as honest as you boast, you would acknowledge your avoidance.
Or, what they are doing is sometimes referred to as the Socratic method. Some people argue just to argue.
It's not rational to expect your religious assertions to go unquestioned in a philosophy forum, your opinions of the questions notwithstanding.
Pretend that you are in a philosophy forum.
