Yet, you can't prove that the Gulf of Mexico wasn't formed by an asteroid. How do you know the smaller crater didn't come immediately after a larger hit? To my knowledge, no one has tested off the cost of Florida, Texas, Mississippi or Mexico for other asteroid debris. So how are YOU so sure it's not there?

Which brings me to my next point; if you can't prove me wrong; about what formed the Gulf of Mexico; how are you so sure that I am. Do you have the humility to admit you could possibly be wrong about how it was formed?

And, I see how you apparently have no capacity to allow for other's admitting a mistake? Have you ever admitted when you were wrong about something; or do you not have that capacity yourself?

If you can't admit you could be wrong about the formation of the Gulf of Mexico; you're only being hypocritical of what you're now accusing me of.

If you want a crux, it's that after the

no way I will waste further time on

If you are a Christian and the Scripture is not your authority on what God has done and said; than what is your authority? How do you know anything you may (or may not) believe about Jesus Christ is real?

Which puts the full formation of the general aspects of the Gulf at least 75 million years before the Chicxulub crater formed.

I'll do some investigation on the theories of the formation of the Gulf of Mexico. Which it could be accurate that there is a time lapse here, because there was passage of time between the flood and the dividing of the continents. And undoubtedly some of the formation of the Gulf of Mexico had do do with continental plate shifting and the formation of the mid-Atlantic ridge.

One would know their interoperation of Scripture is correct when comparing Scripture to itself. That's what the Scripture tells you to do; compare it to itself.

Now it's a big book with a lot of intricacies; which one may not have found all the information Scripture has to offer on a topic; which of course could lead to incomplete understanding and faulty interpretation.

Which of course requires the humility to say to God: "I don't understand this book; help me!"

Which led us to science and the search for a young earth which Christian scientists concluded was not the case hundreds of years ago in their striving for a greater understanding of both scripture and God's creation.

Yes! Look at Mt. St Helens. That created a vastly different landscape in a matter of what.... a couple of days.

How are you so sure the geologists have the time table right? We can reasonably observe rock layers WXY and Z stack on top of each other; in a certain pattern, but geologists at best are only guessing when that happened. And how much time between successions did it happen in.

This is what I mean by the issue isn't with the evidence; it's with the interpretation thereof. And what interpretation one believes depends on a lot of different factors within that individual.

Again, boils down to is there a God and if there is; which one is the true God. It's also what you could call a "world view".

Either there is such a thing as absolute truth or none of this matters whatsoever.
