How do you know? Have you seen the PI reports? There is no such a thing as total innocence in business.I agree it would not have many of the big national names. But there are plenty of smaller local companies that have a clear conscience. That's why I'm asking for peoples assistance/contributions on alternatives.
And if some of the larger ones are made to see the error of their ways, maybe they and others will repent.
I would agree it's pretty rare in big business, but there are millions of small ones that serve their usefull purpose, and get paid to do so - without promoting lot's of heresies. If you've never encountered one - then I understand why you are so jaded. Do you work in sales? How do you know? Have you seen the PI reports? There is no such a thing as total innocence in business.
I disagree - there's a better than even chance of them going bankrupt (at least that's a conclusion that can be drawn from looking at their bond prices) - which is an indication that perhaps the boycott is working. It may also have something to do with the demand for their cars.Boycotting Ford has been proven fruitless though. As they keep giving to homosexual causes even though organizations like AFA keep trying to drag them down. So either it's not working or Ford is a very firm wall. I'm against boycotting either way. It's a long painful process to get anything done generally and you typically end up leaving innocent people without a job in smaller lots before any effect takes in.

Now I don't want Ford to go bankrupt - I would much rather see them repent and make a great come back. My only point in mentioning this is to refute that the boycott is not having an effect.
It is naive to think a boycott is working. What is happening to ford is that the invested too much into trucks coupled with the high gas prices and the trendy going green.I disagree - there's a better than even chance of them going bankrupt (at least that's a conclusion that can be drawn from looking at their bond prices) - which is an indication that perhaps the boycott is working. humph I drive a Ford SUV...but looking at a F150...BURNT ORANGE.
Will probably stay with a burnt orange SUV only because it is more lady like.
Great post.OK - this has gone to the point where I will chime in.
Boycotting the world for acting like the world is ludicrous. Trying to impose our Christian ethical perspective onto those who do not believe it does more harm to the cause of Christ than the alternative.
We can reach a whole lot more people by loving them and including them in our lives than by excluding them. Driving someone away from yourself never, and I mean never helps them decide to listen to what you have to say.
Example: Do you kick two 19 year-olds out of your church for slipping up and having sexual relations once? I would hope not! They would be angry at the church and probably angry at God. Heck, they're just doing what the world has taught them to do!
So, boycotting Ford? I don't think so. I would choose to influence them in other ways. Maybe praying for the board of directors would be a good thing.

Its funny isnt it? Gay = bad but child labour = no problem. In addition to what BrBob said - why are you boycotting Ford for something as harmless to others as supporting homosexual activity (which if it came to it, I doubt anyone could ever prove, and it's mostly speculation)
I'd have thought the real gospel issue here was one of justice - what about boycotting the companies like Nike and Adidas that use sweatshops and child labour paid on a wage so low that it is almost impossible for them to live, just so that we can have cheap clothes. Isn't that so much more of a gospel issue?
Or in our role as stewards of God's creation, boycotting companies that make products from non-recyclable materials when there are alternative, sustainable sources which their products could be used for.
I have a funny feeling that the boycott of Ford is based on prejudices rather than God. Either way, I think there are so many more important gospel issues, issues of justice, to take a stand on, rather than whether a company allows to blokes to kiss
Only in Texas....got to love the hornsAs soon as my wife lets me put a second mortgage on the house, I'm buying and F250 King Ranch edition. Burnt Orange, of course. And if I can find it, a set of horns to mount on the hood
Why not Disney?I dont buy Ford products or Disney products, if I can at all avoid them. So I am all behind the boycott.
