I believe you confuse self-righteousness with pride. The most Christian person would recognize he needs God.
But, they know who does the saving. You seem not to grasp this.

That's why most of the saints are synergists who recognize cooperating with God is what gives you life.

I don't believe in Purgatory. I am a Trinitarian Sola Scriptura Christian who believes in Dualistic Conditional Immortality.

To learn more about Dualistic Conditional Immortality, check out this thread here:

The Dualistic Conditional Immortality View of Hell
Man this stuff is getting more complicated by the day.... “trinitarian sola scriptura Christian who believes in dualistic conditional immortality”.... we have messed stuff up so bad just being human it’s ridiculous. It’s gotta be more simple than this...

Sola Scriptura failed Christianity.
Is it the case then that everything that exists in the universe is supposed to be available to us to know? That seems to be the obvious conclusion from a comment that minimizes Scripture for not informing us about things that God did not deign to tell us, perhaps because we cannot understand it anyway, given our current mental abilities.

Dead people do not do this. Only those whom God regenerates believe and repent in the true sense.

I don't minimize Scripture, I minimize those who teach other doctrines using Scripture.

So you hold to no theological wording that describes what you believe?
Do you believe in the Trinity?
If so, you are Trinitarian.
Do you believe in the Bible alone as your spiritual authority?
If so, then you are Sola Scriptura.
Do you believe in no view of hell?
Most Christians believe in Eternal Conscious Torment.
I do not. I believe there is a literal hell, but I believe that the wicked, death, the devil, and his minions will be eventually erased from existence (after the Judgment) within the Lake of Fire. But to mock terms that describe a belief is illogical (Unless again, you can prove why it is wrong to do so - of course).

Anyways, there is theological wording for just about everything a Christian believes these days. So to adhere to a theological word (that describes a belief) does not mean we have messed up as a part of humanity (Unless you want to prove otherwise of course). It merely means that man is keeping track of which beliefs are which so as to distinguish between them. Some are biblical and others are not. You have to pray and search the Scriptures and determine that truth for yourself.

They had faith, a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
That it was commanded for them means they had to act. They might have faith, but if there is a verse saying "don't grieve the Holy Spirit", then it means He does allow you to act either for good or bad.

Faith naturally acts or it isn't faith.
