  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Because it is how the "love" can be delivered.

Imagine a world where the all people are rich, endless money, enough food and resources, people may start to think how to be 'brighter' than any other people. Then, there will be no love in this world.

By giving, we share what the God has given to us, to others. That way, we understand what is love, we see God in others. Love is meant to be given.

Our money belongs to God, it never belong to us. We have more because God would like us to give more.
Thank you.

I pray for the melting of all hearts and for the melting of my heart if not having focussed and gone in depth into our Lord Jesus Christs Holy Divine Bitter Passion suffered and not having gone into our Most Holy Blessed Virgin Mothers Sorrows, Sufferings and piercing of Her Heart during the Stations of The Cross of Jesus and at the Foot of The Cross - that should have been mine Sorrows and Sufferings.

Then after praying for this our Blessed Holy Trinity with Holy Mother Mary melts my heart more deeply and I want to give out Love, Compassion, Mercy, Kindness, Goodness, to others, in particular also reading Gods Holy Word

Love to all

Why give to the needy, or to anyone who asks? (Matthew 5:42) Why does God want us to give away our hard earned money?
The most obvious answer is that God commands it. Whether we understand the reasons for it or not, we still ought to obey the Lord. The OT sets the precedent, and the NT follows it through. The parable of the sheep and the goats puts some real teeth into it.

But as to why?
It all comes down to loving our neighbor as ourselves. We are our brothers' keeper. If we were down on our own luck, unemployed, sick, disabled, unintelligent, so awkward or ugly that it were difficult finding gainful employment, or were raising children alone and could not find a job that paid enough to cover child care expenses, or found that the jobs one could realistically do simply didn't pay a living wage, we would look to others for help. Therefore if we have enough to help, we should help others in those circumstances.

But there are other reasons as well. It is better to give than to receive. There is something about helping others that changes our perception of reality. We suddenly become more thankful for what we have, because we know there are those worse off than ourselves. This is why it is important that even those who aren't so well off give what they can to those who are even worse off, or give of their time to help.

Furthermore, the giving in the Torah was *institutionalized,* not voluntary. God created the IDEAL society for the Israelites. We should try to pattern our own society after theirs. It can't be identical, after all, theirs was agrarian and ours is not; it would make no sense for us to "not harvest the four corners of our field but to leave them for the poor." But at the same time, no one in ancient Israel EVER went hungry. We should see to it that we have proper societal programs in effect that no one goes hungry in our own country as well -- even the lazy.
