Like all Christians I take the Bible seriously. IITim 3:16. And I recognize among the teachings of the Scripture priorities are set. I Cor 13:13. Mt 23:23. So, though all Scripture should be taken seriously, it puzzles me that today some seem to prioritize the herbs and neglected justice like Jesus said. I would just like to ask how one explains that. I am listening. Here’s two examples of two types of reversed priorities.
1) First question. Mt 19:9 which is the main point. Yet the priority is on Mt 19:5 with regard to a completely different subject. Why?
2) Second question. Clearly Jesus didn’t cancel the law. Mt 5:17. “not to abolish”. But clearly to do something about it. “to fulfill them”
How? His death and resurrection obviously. But what else? So there are indications. Like Mt 7:12; 12:12; Mt 22:36-40; Lk 11:46. So, though the ten commandments are still valid; why do they get prominence over the ‘fulfillment’ treatment that Jesus gives them?
