Why don't protestants bless Mary?

"This" being the bread.

Jesus is the Bread of Life. He said, "this is My Body".

And he said, "Truly, truly, I say to you: unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His Blood, you have no life in you. John 6:53, John 6:54, John 6:55, John 6:56

How is it faithful to deny the plain teaching of these verses and then ask for plain teaching about the Mother of God?

When you say, "the bible", how do you know which books are in the N.T. except by the oral Tradition of the Catholic Church, which holds that Mary is the Immaculate Mother of God?

There is only one Church.

The Church that Jesus Christ builds.

No such Church in the bible called the Catholic Church.

No such thing as the Pope in the bible.

Right. "Take, eat; this is My body" Matthew 26:26, John 6:53

This is the Body of the One who came to us through Mary. I love her, and love Christ, my God, through her.

I would support this is the scripture said, "There is one mediator between us and the father, Jesus Christ--which also requires a mediator, His mother Mary. Is there anyone we need to go through to get to Mary?

Are there any non-Catholic historical sources of the N.T. Canon?

There are sources of the N.T. Canon from the Catholic oral Tradition, which holds that Mary is the New Eve, the Immaculate Mother of God, and our Mother.

I don't think so, because while Jesus is the Eternal God, Mary--though exalted as the Immaculate Mother of God--is a creature like us.

No such thing as "Catholic tradition" in the scriptures.

No such thing as a Pope in the scriptures.

No such thing a infant Baptism in the scriptures.

Mary is blessed and precious to all Christians.

Mary had several children after Jesus was born.

  • Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside they sent to Him, calling Him. Mark 3:31
  • After this He went down to Capernaum, He, His mother, His brothers, and His disciples; and they did not stay there many days. John 2:12
  • Then His mother and brothers came to Him, and could not approach Him because of the crowd. Luke 8:19
  • These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. Acts 1:14
  • Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? Matthew 13:55
  • Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him. Mark 6:3
  • But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. Galatians 1:19

Thank you for sharing your oral traditions sincerely.

I agree that Mary is Blessed and precious to Christians.

Are there any non-Catholic historical sources of the N.T. Canon?

Also, do you agree with the Bible's teaching that Christ's Flesh is True Food (John 6:55), and that we should hold fast to the traditions, just as they were handed on, whether orally or by letter?

"Brothers" in Scripture can refer to near relations, such as cousins. Lot and Abraham are called "brothers" but Lot was Abraham's nephew.

Which one of the following scriptures, do you personally believe refer to "cousins", rather than actual brothers.

Do you have any New Testament verse's that have "brother" as a reference to "cousin"

This is Grafted In. I'm posting for patricius79 because he/she must have fallen asleep.

JLB, great post.
Now ask if that same tradition goes for sisters, too.

Good Morning. If you're posting for patricius79, don't forget to work in "according to your Protestant oral traditions...." and "You agreed that Sola Scriptura is not a divine truth." ^_^

Again and again and again.

Yes I was saving this after my question was answered.

Thanks JLB
