He doesn't do it for you if you're a christian. You must step out yourself and lay hands on yourself and build your faith. Then why don't amputees get healed? What about the amputee Christians who get baptized in the Holy Spirit? Why doesn't He do it for them?
Well I got preferential treatment when I was an atheist and as a baby christian, but if you grow up you don't. Those eagle moms they throw their kids out of the nest. Well yeah you're right, it is special treatment.
You need to learn to step out in faith and take His promises. It took me a year of proclaiming Bible texts when I was a christian before my shoulder finally got healed. I couldn't do my work anymore ever they said.
Yet an atheist collegue with the same problem said: oh sure you guys can pray for me. If it doesn't work it doesn't hurt either. Church prayed and commanded healing in Jesus' Name while he was just at home. Next day, he was at home for 6 weeks, RSI, couldn't work, LOL he comes to the office. Everyone: Hey Arco! What are you doing here? The guy was healed and he forgot that I even asked him if we could pray for him I think.

Peter had small faith. He sank. Later he raised the dead and people healed in his shadow.
My maturity? I never healed an amputee in Jesus' Name. I want to. I'm buuilding my faith until one day I dare to step out. It would be easier to ask a fellow believer who misses a leg and has the same beliefs and doesn't get offended and doesn't blame you if it doesn't happen and just keep on praying and proclaiming Bible texts until it does.Yes, all those poor amputees just don't have your maturity.

The whole church is not mature. Creation is waiting for the mature sons (not babies) of God to stand up and do the works Jesus did.
If Jesus' body on earth was sick and didn't function for 90 percent how many people would He have healed?
That is the problem now. God wants to heal everyone, but His body which is the church only functions for so much percent.
Simple question, probably a very complicated answer.
I hear about God healing people all the time on these forums.
Why does he not heal amputees?
Understood. But you ASKED.For atheists it's first see, then believe. That's how I got saved. I just asked for signs.
Understood. But you ASKED.
Since my offer to pray for these people has been turned down, it looks to me like they do not WANT a sign.
If God healed amputees like common colds or fever, then people would be flocking to believe in God......
.....But they will believe God for the wrong reasons which is mostly through selfish gains, thus, their belief will be FAKE and hypocritical!
NEED? of course not. But He is relational and WANTS our prayers.I'd think that an omniscient and omnipotent God doesn't need your prayers to act.

He can do nothing on earth except when His people pray."God wants to heal everyone" - so why doesn't he? Either he is all powerful or he isn't. It's no use hiding behind "church functions".
Then why would God heal anyone of anything? Or grant any prayers at all?
NEED? of course not. But He is relational and WANTS our prayers.
You are dealing with a personality here - not an impersonal law of nature.
Where in the Bible is that?I understand that, but your prayers are irrelevant to God's decision to act or not. It would be irrational for anyone to ask for your prayers, as if this is somehow a requirement for God's actions. If God decides to act, he will do so.
He would also understand if a non-believer doesn't believe in the necessity of prayers.

The question is, if God is even directly responsible for such healings or was it a change in diet??
Why Christians seem smarter?
Where in the Bible is that?
He can do nothing on earth except when His people pray.
If He could do it Himself, why send Jesus and let Him disciple people to do His work if He can just do that out of heaven?
Adam and Eve were human. They got the authority over the earth. Adam, a man, gave it to satan. A man had to take it back. Jesus went to heaven and gave the church His authority and power and the Holy Spirit to do His works. As signs these things will follow the believers: they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
Well He did need people who believed it to cooperate with, to send Jesus. The Bible describes God as acting on his own plans. God doesn't need our requests or permission to act. Did God require prayers to send the Flood? Or Jesus?
