Why doesn't God heal amputees?

I don't believe that God wants us to love this world because it only ends in death anyway. God wants us to focus on heaven. I prayed that God help me focus on heaven as he teaches us. I prayed that he help me not love this world. I also prayed that he heal me from depression and mental problems that i have.

He didnt heal me, but my problems were the answer to my other prayers. I now focus on heaven, and i do not cling to this world as i once did. I am not healed of my problems but i have found that Gods strength sustains me. His truth guides me as well. I am no longer stuck in a prison of darkness but now i see that my struggles are a blessing, not a curse. AS the apostle paul once said, "when i am weak then i am strong". This world to me is like a mothers womb, we are being born again, its not easy to be born but the future is full of life. Christ teaches that we must be born again. In Christ we have life to look forward to, not death. This is not the case in atheism. Atheism only has the grave to look forward to.

This is not to say i am not happy. I am very happy, even though i suffer things. God has given me many simple things in life to enjoy and i am blessed. We are growing old and dying however. Our eyesight and hearing will fail, so will our organs, perhaps even our mind.

What is there to heal? Our body is growing old and dying at this very moment.

All is not hopeless however, Jesus Christ is real, and he is the meaning to life that man searches for. There is life after death. Do not cling to a world of death, but instead be born again and live forever. Choose life.

This is insulting. You are implying that atheists have nothing to live for. I determine what my life's purpose is. Honestly, I am a much happier person after I abandoned my belief in a God. Don't stand up on a pedestal acting like you're more special than a non believer.

I enjoy life. I learned to enjoy the best things in life however. The best things are usually the most simple.

I see this world much like that old movie the Matrix. God is actually real. We were created by our creator and he has given us such a wonderful future. We however live in a matrix which is this world, and we don't see the real world that is all around us. This life is short, and surely this is not all there is

God is so amazing, our existence is also very amazing. Why do we walk around blinded, not looking at reality? Even Christians can walk around blinded, its a human condition. WE are blessed to be alive! Can you imagine that? We have a wonderful future to look forward to as well, in Christ.

If I were to give an honest answer of what comes after death I would say "I don't know". I would just be guessing that there is nothing and you cease to exist. I am fine with this idea considering I won't even know it. Just as I didn't realize I didn't exist before I was born. It makes like more meaningful for me. That this is the one life I am sure to get. I would like to make the most of it.

Can you prove God has never healed an amputee? ​

God has never been proven to me to exist so I have no reason to believe that He has healed anyone, in any way, ever. ​

I have found that in Christ i do make the most of life. I have learned to let go of worthless things which destroy my life and my happiness. I have also learned to live one day at a time and that is a huge blessing. IN Christ i have learned to make the most of my life. His teaching guided me.

Sure. But if He does heal some people, as many believe (I am not sure about you), why does He never ever heal amputees?

Nobody is saying God should heal everybody. But if He is going to heal people, He might want to spread some of that healing of curable things to the healing of incurable things. Yet He never ever does.

You have to experince need before you can honestly appriciate what you have and in appriciating what you have that others don't you would never think of lending that ability to help those who can't do what you can.

So why heal cancer but not the loss of a limb? Why one but not the other?

If Jesus says I am greater than John the Baptist I have to acknowledge it as truth. And, I would also have to assume that Jesus would consider John the Baptist as being greater than an atheist that doesn't even believe in God.

Also, if you'll notice the post where I said the Christian was greater than an atheist you'll notice that I was just responding to a statement made in error by an atheist.

If you and I both died today and were standing before the Lord which one of us do YOU think would have the best chance of getting in heaven? This is not a world view, but a biblical view.

If there was any actual evidence of "eternal life" do you not think more people would latch on to it (although eternal anything seems to be somewhat dubious)? As it is, it's just one of many faith based claims that promise something similar.

Well I got preferential treatment when I was an atheist and as a baby christian, but if you grow up you don't. Those eagle moms they throw their kids out of the nest. Well yeah you're right, it is special treatment.
You need to learn to step out in faith and take His promises. It took me a year of proclaiming Bible texts when I was a christian before my shoulder finally got healed. I couldn't do my work anymore ever they said.
Yet an atheist collegue with the same problem said: oh sure you guys can pray for me. If it doesn't work it doesn't hurt either. Church prayed and commanded healing in Jesus' Name while he was just at home. Next day, he was at home for 6 weeks, RSI, couldn't work, LOL he comes to the office. Everyone: Hey Arco! What are you doing here? The guy was healed and he forgot that I even asked him if we could pray for him I think.
