It does not mean that we won't sin. It just means that sin will not rule over us.According to the Bible, sin will not any longer rule or reign [be master] over us, for we are under grace (Rom. 6:14).
The following passage tells us we had better not sin!It does not mean that we won't sin. It just means that sin will not rule over us.![]()
Because we are not perfect and make mistakesYea, you are absolutely right. It shows that sin won't reign [be master] over us any longer.
So back to the question, Why do we, believers, being freed from sin and its power, sin?
The following passage tells us we had better not sin!
(Hebrews 10:26-31) “If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them. There will be left only the dreadful prospect of judgment and of the raging fire that is to burn rebels. Anyone who disregards the Law of Moses is ruthlessly put to death on the word of two witnesses or three; and you may be sure that anyone who tramples on the Son of God, and who insults the Spirit of grace, will be condemned to a far severer punishment. We are all aware who it was that said: Vengeance is mine; I will repay. And again: The Lord will judge his people. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Because we are not perfect and make mistakes
But is sinning the same as making mistakes?Because we are not perfect and make mistakes
What is "sin" here? Any sin or something specific sin?
Because that what we want to do is far from us and it is no longer I that do this but the sin that dwelleth within me or wretched man that I am.. Paul had the same problem with this.. Our human bodies are fallen. Sin dwells in them.. So the desires of our flesh come up and tempt us and yup weak as we are we sometimes fall. Then we Confess our sin and He cleanses us from our sin. The more we confess it the more we are cleansed of it. I think youre one new nature; you have one new person. You dont have two natures; you have one nature. You live in Christ; Christ lives in you. But theres sin in your humanness, and until you shed your humanness, you can never see the full manifestation of that righteousness.Yea, you are absolutely right. It shows that sin won't reign [be master] over us any longer.

I know you want to believe what you just wrote, but it is not true. Paul goes on to explain:Because that what we want to do is far from us and it is no longer I that do this but the sin that dwelleth within me or wretched man that I am.. Paul had the same problem with this.. Our human bodies are fallen. Sin dwells in them.. So the desires of our flesh come up and tempt us and yup weak as we are we sometimes fall. It is a shame how many times, that when someone doesnt like what the Word of God says, they make like it was taken out of context. Why dont you just accept what it says? If you dont understand then ask Jesus.
Are you now taking the verse out of context? What about the word gar, "for" ?
