Why does God send good people to hell? (Or does He?)

I don't hate God at all, I just don't understand God in the same way that Christians here claim to understand Him. I don't intentionally reject God; I want to know how it is that you come to believe. The prevaling Christian description of God doesn't make sense to me, so I want to know if this means I am bound for Hell, or if I am still salvageable.

It doesn't really bother me, though...if God wants me in Hell then I will be there, so isn't that just and good?

When I said that you hated God, I was quoting scripture. You may say that you do not hate God, but you do. Love is the fulfilling of the law. And to be honest, if you realize that you need a saviour and it doesn't bother you, I don't know what else to say. Everyone wants a set of steps that they can do. The rich young ruler wanted steps. But they were to "hard" for him. Here are the steps to being saved:
1. Don't be a descendant of Adam.
2. And keep every single commandment perfectly in thought and deed from conception until death.

OR. . . Fall to your knees and beg God to have mercy for His name's sake.

I am not trying to be a smart alec. You are not bothered that you are an offence to God. You sound like a reprobate hyper-Calvinist. Just because God has decreed everything does not take any guilt from man for rejecting Him. I would suggest that you try to pray to Him, approaching Him as GOD your CREATOR. He is loving and merciful, but remember He is holy, holy, holy. That really is your only hope.

I say I love God. How can you say I hate God? I can no longer even trust my senses. How can I make logical choices then?

I love God. Period. I don't care if you order me to hate God, I will not do it, and I am not sorry for that.

I've done this before, but I still don't believe that Jesus was God in the flesh, or that the Bible is anything more than parables. From whence comes this belief?

It's okay, but you insult me and my faith over and over again. I am sorry if you feel that I offend God. I only question that which I do not understand.

I'll certainly continue to try! Perhaps I will be blessed with belief someday, but at present it is not something I am graced with.

Then I believe you will find Him. My mom told me once, when I was a new ager, that anyone who seeks the truth will end up in the hands of Jesus. I believe that is true. If we can put down our limited mental abilites and truly seek the truth of God, He will reveal it to us.

By "universe," I meant all things that exist, including spiritual and dimensional things. I do not believe that people who don't meet some criteria are doomed to suffer forever, because that is way too simple.
