Why does God not respond if I say, "Hi God"?

Would you like to know how? He speaks to me constantly as two friends communicate. You must have faith for this to work.

On many occasions, I have said, "Hi God" or have attempted to communicate with him in a similar manner. Never have I heard or received any response. Why would a loving god not respond?

I personaly had this problem too while I followed jesus. After many years in the christian faith I realized that the methods that christians use to verify a hit (response from god) was in no way a safe bet. This why there are 33 thousand diffrent christian sects, they all use pure subjective means to verify a hit. Which means that their data can be at one end of the scale or the other and for those whos data just might line up, they will splinter off to form a new group.

First, have you surrendered your life to Christ? If not, that's a big part of why you don't hear a response. The bible tells us in John, "We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will." There are two parts to that.
1. Are you part of God's family?
2. Do you have some unrepentant sin in your life?

Clear up these two issues in your life, that will help a LOT!

Next, you have to understand that praying is how we talk to God, and reading his word is how he talks to us. That's one of the reasons we call it "God's Word"...it is His spoken words to us.

So yes, you were communicating with God, but looking for His answers in the wrong place. The bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 ""The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?" So don't trust your heart, trust Scripture.

Open the bible and start reading, His responses are right there.
