I'm not really sure what this has to do with the topic at hand. However, regarding teaching, God gave the Israelites his word through Moses and then the prophets. After that Jesus came and taught. He left 12 apostles to go out into the world and they wrote their teachings down. So we have those in addition to the OT writings. Of all of those teachings we have nothing in the Scriptures that says one has to believe in the Trinity. The idea that a person cannot be saved unless they believe in the Trinity shows up in the Athanasian Creed, not Scripture.
I don't think you got what I said. (Although, I'm not always at my best in the morning. lol!) We don't have all knowledge at the point of salvation. If belief in the Trinity was essential for salvation, then God would reveal that to every one of us at the moment of conversion. He does not. For some, He surely does. He did with me within a few days of becoming a believer. (I grew up in a non-Trinitarian church, btw.) We are taught how valuable the teaching is through studying the bible under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Establishing a correct view of God is critical to faith. Correct? Yet the Trinity isn't exactly the first thing on a believer's mind, but its also not something a believer can blow off or ignore their entire lives either. You must confront the knowledge of whether you accept it or not. I'm not saying there is a time limit on pursuing the knowledge either. God works in HIS time, not ours.
Believing in the Trinity is a RESULT of faith. Its not something you can manufacture on your own. Paul, Peter, Timothy, James, you name it, all said the same thing, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. But don't stop there like so many others do. Jesus is Savior, yes. To the unsaved. They all said He is also Lord, to the saved. Part Two, in essence. This is where the Holy Spirit comes into His own. Making Jesus Christ Lord in a believers life, one step at a time, through obedience and faith. Are you sure that is in the bible? I am.
The Trinity doctrine is stated in many parts of the bible. Sometimes clearly, and in others where it is implied. No one can state that and expect to be believed, that the Trinity is not anywhere in scripture. Why? Because it doesn't state "Here is the Trinity doctrine. Believe it or die." If it did? Where is the faith in that?
