How does a poll on CF offer "basic/solid proof" of anything other than the opinion if those who happen to be on CF?

How does a poll do that anywhere? Polls are done with people and yield the truth of what people think. LOL! We are people on CF.

The is getting funny... :)

Let me make this as plain as I can for you: I don't care whether I ever convince you of anything. My only interest here is to discover why Creationists believe what they do about the Bible. So go ahead and conduct a poll if you want. You could even do the same kind of research I did to find out what other Christians really believe about the Bible, if you were really interested, which I doubt.. Your response to me and the heat with which you delivered it gave me the answer I was looking for

1. Agree.
2. Agree, but certainly not in the sense that Jesus knows everything the Father knows - we know this is not true as I have proven easily. To disagree with what I am saying here is an out and out lie - it is simply implausible that you do not understand that, Biblically, Jesus' knowledge is not perfect. So, are you lying to the readers here on CF by implying that Jesus knows everything just as the Father does?
3. Agree.
Why isn't HIS KNOWLEDGE perfect?

Whose SPIRIT was in the fleshly vessel of HIS BODY?

Perhaps you have not read post 66:

Nowhere in this text is there a clear claim that Jesus knows all things. And if there were, we would have a contradiction with this:

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

Plain? there has been no misunderstand here whatsoever. Is that what you want others to think?

The mention of a poll was only to prove you were wrong, it is no longer necessary. :)

Heat? no heat coming from here, but if it helps you to pretend I've done something wrong here, that's fine. Yet, it won't make the fact you said people prefer a story of creation over facts any more true than it was when we started.

This is why there is all the fighting - you guys are not willing to accept obvious facts, whether Biblical or otherwise.

In this case, you (and at least one other) are denying the plain truth expressed in this text: there is something that Jesus does not know.
Are you willing to accept that the SON is the full measure of THE FATHER who is SPIRIT?

Or are you willing to say that THE SON is separate from THE FATHER?

Archivist, I think you have your answer. One poster is clearly evading and another is basically lying.

No wonder emotions run high in the presence of these behaviours.
Would you care to elaborate

Stop playing games.

I am simply agreeing with Matthew - the Son does not know everything the Father knows.

How are you not a troll? Surely you can read.

Jesus indeed has the "same spirit as the Father". But that does not make Matthew a liar!!!

It depends what you mean by "full measure".

I would have to believe Matthew is lying if I were to agree that it means that the Son knows everything the Father knows.

What is the matter with you? It is clear to an 8 year old that the Son does not know everything the Father knows.

Or are you willing to say that THE SON is separate from THE FATHER?
You will need to be more specific about what you mean by "separate".

They are obviously separate in this one sense:

1. The Father knows when the Son will return;
2. The Son does not know when the Son will return.

What I understood you to say (and I apologize if I was wrong) was that you wanted facts instead of a story. It also occurs to me that you may mean by "story" something that was just "made up." That struck me as odd, since creationists insist that the creation accounts are historical narratives, which are stories built on fact, not just the facts themselves. I stand by my point, however, that most people want their religion to be based on stories, not just bald facts. If that was not so, how come we have kept the Bible all these years, instead of just sifting out the data and making a list?

I want facts instead of the stories you say people would rather have. Not sure what direction you are taking this now?

You say "creationist"...I believe God created everything...don't you?

None of this has anything to do with the topic under discussion.
yes it does

That's up to you, I guess. But I like my facts wrapped up in stories--historical narrative, that is. Are you saying that you would rather have just the bald facts of creation than the beautiful inspired stories in Genesis? And you really think most people would prefer it too? OK, you win, I was wrong. I guess it's just me who would prefer the stories as is rather than just the facts they contain by themselves.

You say "creationist"...I believe God created everything...don't you?
Of course. But not necessarily on Saturday, October 23, 4004 BC.

I don't have to convince you that HE knew all things. And you won't convince me that HE didn't

John 16:30 is sufficient
