Such as "Jesus perfectly atoned for you and 100% successfully secured your salvation without the possibility of failure"?

How is that nasty?

Many people would think it nasty because it doesn't include man's sovereignty over God's Creation.

No one said the theology was nasty, but the proponents of it aren't always gentle, is all I'm saying. And you're leaving out the people which Christ didn't atone for without ever giving them a chance to be saved. I don't know who is right and who is wrong. I can't even begin to claim to understand the wisdom and ways of G-D. But I have stopped posting here so frequently because of the rudeness of Calvinists and non, alike. I'm simply pointing out Calvinists aren't hated more than any other group of Christians claiming to know divine truth. Even Calvin had some hatred towards those who dissented from him. I mean consider anabaptists in 1500, 1600s.

God knows His people. If we don't say anything about the unsaved, does that mean that we don't care? How many of us pray routinely for the lost and do things like distribute religious tracts and even Bibles to the lost? Christ gave the Great Commission to His people. Don't you think that we attend to spreading the gospel in myriad ways?

This video might help you. He explains what you are asking.

"
actually I was a big fan of Paul washer, untill I watched this video, I stopped when he made a comment that should God open the gates of hell and offer those inside freedom if they would just bow down and worship Him, and he says they would slam the door shut themselves because they hate God and wouldn't take the offer..............I've never heard such a unbiblical notion, We see from scripture the complete opposite, even the rich man was willing to drink water from the poor beggars dirty finger and the parable of the man who wanted to warn his brothers.........there are people who have had visions and dreams about hell and they unequivocally say people were screaming begging to get out, they would do anything to get out of hell! ANYTHING!......to say they would prefer to stay, is the most absurd thing I've ever heard

They would do anything to get out of Hell sure, but would they do anything to be with God? I doubt it.

I'm not going to debate. You've missed my point entirely despite the issue on the semantics of what the great comission entails and how to go about it in love. As I said, I'm on neither side. I dont know the ways of G-D. Nor is it for me to philosophize (made up word). Nor do.I think he placed us here to debate doctines.

And you believe these so-called visions and dreams? Is God's Word not enough that we need visions and dreams?

That is why I asked you the question before assuming. So ease upon your "twisting" accusations. Now, you say you don't hate Calvinists but you hate Calvinism and think it is evil and a false doctrine as you stated below,

If you hate Calvinism and think it is evil and a false doctrine, then why on earth would you read and listen to Calvinists, like John MacArthur and Spurgeon? That makes no sense and defies logic and you appear to be confused. If you like Spurgeon and MacArthur, who are Calvinists, then perhaps your view of Calvinism is not correct, as mine once was not.
well just because they have been taught wrong in one area, don't make them wrong in all areas, Peter was wrong about the gentiles being able to receive salvation, but that don't mean we should cut Him out of the bible, Vernon magee was wrong about the need for angels ( in my opinion ) But He is still one of my favorite Preachers. calvinism is not the only thing Spurgeon and MacArthur preach. Maybe you should ease up a bit and listen to some grace through faith preachers. might do you some good as well,

All Christians whether Calvinist or not believe that God could save everyone if He wanted to. So your concern isn't exclusive to Calvinism is it?
(bolding added by me)
Ahh, I see. God doesn't save everyone because He doesn't want to. Thanks, I think I understand now.

Another way I look at it is that if God chose to save everyone then it would no longer be grace and mercy wouldnt be mercy where no justice is served.

Does he actually believe this or is he trying to make a point? Does Paul Washer actually believe God will give people in Hell a 2nd chance? Certainly not. I think he is just trying to make a point.

Besides, I think there would be a problem if you DID agree with everything Paul Washer said.

You can't take one thing that someone says that you disagree with and write the person off. If that was the case, you wouldn't be able sit under a Pastor. I'm a big fan of Spurgeon, MacArthur, Washer, Ravenhill, etc. There are some things they all say that I do not agree with but I do not break fellowship.

Just something to consider.

He is missing the bigger point, sure these people would want to be out of Hell to escape its torments but would they do so in order to be with God? I dont believe that they would and I believe that is Paul Washers point.
