I was in an interactive session and the preacher asked a question.
" your marriage or your ministry, which comes first?"
A lot of people answered marriage and some others said ministry

The preacher said Your marriage should come first. He further explained that your marriage is also a ministry and it is the first ministry you have to impact before you go on impacting others.

He said some people neglect their families and just go on with ministry, and it is true. There are plenty men out there who just neglect the needs of their families (physically, spiritually or emotionally) and just throw themselves into the lives of others.

He also said; you were made to serve God and you serve him well, then he blesses you with a companion who is supposed to serve him alongside with you and then he goes on to bless you with children whom you also dedicate to him and like that your ministry keeps expanding on and on.

PS: I like having other people contribute as well. Thanks for your contributions, I appreciate them

In 1 Timothy 3:1-10 our Apostle Paul says what qualifies a man to "take care of the church of God".

It looks to me like he learns how to take care of his own family, so now he with his wife can help other couples and their families.

So, this would mean you need a good marriage so you can minister this to others.

If a marriage is not God centered it can cause a lot issues especially in cases where one of them is a believer and the other party is not. This might make it difficult for impacts to be made in ministries. "Leadership by example

So, your first ministry has to be fulfilled so that you can fill others as "you cannot pour from an empty cup

If you do what God has you do, you could meet others who are doing this. There could be a guy, or not; but you will discover truly Christian people also doing what you do . . . possibly.

And just trust God to take care of things.

And be a good witness with whomever does meet you, even if the man is not a Christian.

But I would be careful in church > there can be men who are chameleons. And ones who have grown up in church culture can know the word and it can be natural for them to act according to the culture and seem very honorable; they can tone their voices. So, make sure you grow in Jesus so you can tell the difference, plus be an example for anyone who is a chameleon.
Amen!
