Which is why we don't have "faith" in ToE, in the religious sense of the word.
Faith is not a virtue.
Faith is only as good as the object of that faith.

Yet another statement of ignorance. You have no way of knowing what anyone else knows, so you ASSUME that they are ignorant. It says more about you than it does about anyone else.
Isn't this a bit unnecessarily and flame provoking? You don't have 'God's word'. You have an imagination, which you've anthropomorphized and deified. There is zero indication that this 'god' exists anywhere outside the confines of your skull.

I tend to question the sincerity of ones atheism when they are so passionate about arguing against something they claim they don't believe exists to begin with.
The criticism is not in the faith in evolution, but the object of the faith.

Which explains why faith in the unseen is no good, unnecessary, and unwarranted.
Of course, from my point of view, you come across as someone who can't even comprehend the limitations on what we can and cannot study through science. Our inability to validate or invalidate the supernatural via natural law is so basic a nine year old can get it. I really don't see why you can't.And from your statements on the nature of science, your ignorance comes through loud and clear.
But ... we're ... not ... arguing ... against ... god, ... we're arguing against you, who claims there is a god.
See the difference?
Why? To what end? Why waste your time arguing over something you supposedly don't believe exists? I find it hard to believe the atheists on this Christian board don't believe in God when they come here everyday and debate His non-existence. Sometimes I think you are trying to convince yourselves more than anyone else and seeking confirmation from your fellow atheists because you are doubting your atheism.
You really can't conceive of any other reasons?

Not really. If I had no belief, I wouldn't waste my time. What would be gained by it?
Testing one's arguments is a solid way to determines it's merits.
Plus, you might just see the light one day.![]()
Genesis does give the who, what, when and where, you just cannot accept them because they don't fit with your faith in evolution.

I yet you failed to provide ANY scriptural support for those alleged answers. (Tradition and Dogma never have real answers.)
Then why do my young earth creationist brethren here REFUSE to provide those who, what, when, and where in a Comprehensive Theory of Special Creation?
I have no more "faith" in evolution than I have in the theory of gravity and the Germ Theory of Disease. I have faith in God and I don't attribute his wondrous works (e.g., evolutionary processes) to Satan like so many creationists do. I believe God's answers to my questions. I recommend the same for you.
What an absurd statement.
I know many Christians who passionately argue against the Islamic concept of Allah and the status of Mohammad as God's prophet. So by YOUR logic, does that mean that you think that they are "closet Muslims"?
(Needless to say, the atheists are NOT arguing against a God they don't believe in. They are arguing against THEISTS who claim that God exists. Is it that difficult to understand the difference? Please don't embarrass those of us who are Christ-followers and who believe the Scriptures.)
