Is it just me or is this madness?

We believe that it IS by God, and by Goddess that it is being done.Lizquests said:It is a bad thing because when you are asking things to be done, it isn't by God that it is being done. It is asking, so called, other supernatural beings, to accomplish what you want done.
I know in some cases they do call upon the elements. What do the elements do? Nothing. Only God can decide what to do or not. Water can't make something happen, except maybe make your plants grow. LOLananar23 said:Actually Lizquests its calling upon the elements in some cases. However, maybe they just think the spells are being answered by the configuration of elements; maybe its something darker. anyway, this is in no way condoning or condemning the pagan religion. it is a mere "what if" question. just speaking from past experiences.
God bless
Well right there, stating "and by Goddess", there is no Goddess. Just God himself. He should be all that we need in our life, instead of calling upon something dark and evil. Satan wants us to think that we are doing good by doing this, but really all it is doing is ruining our relationship with God.Havoc said:We believe that it IS by God, and by Goddess that it is being done.
So you say. God tells me something quite different. He seems to think pretty highly of GoddessLizquests said:Well right there, stating "and by Goddess", there is no Goddess. Just God himself.
I don't call on anything "dark and evil"He should be all that we need in our life, instead of calling upon something dark and evil.
WEll I don't believe in Satan so what you believe he wants us to think really has no relevance to me. What I do does not ruin my relationship with God or Goddess, quite the opposite.Satan wants us to think that we are doing good by doing this, but really all it is doing is ruining our relationship with God.
Well you are entitled to your beliefs. Of course I believe much differently than you. These are my beliefs based on what I have read.
This is nothing more than drivel written by someone who must have an enemy, and will make one if needed.ALL4J3SUS said:Parents read the Harry Potter books with their children, often without realizing they are exposing their children to the occult and demonic.... Wiccans and the Pagan Federation laud the Harry Potter books because they have greatly increased the influx of young people into witchcraft. Many children reading the books want to practice it in their lives. Games like Dungeons and Dragons open the door to the occult.
I am not a Christian, I am a Witch. I do read the Bible on occasion, and have studied it extensively in the past, but I consider it to be a religious text rather than a reflection of "absolute truth"Lizquests said:Just wondering and I am not asking this to be mean at all. Are you Christian? Read the Bible? If so, where does it state that there is a Goddess?
Thank you for the clarification, I respectfully disagree with what you have read.I also worded it wrong when saying that you call on evil. I don't believe you think that it is evil you are calling upon, but it is according to what I have read.
Quite right...err mostly...now let's get the full picture...Smilin said:Deception? Nature doesn't decieve. Pastors, televangelists, and Hovind

May I ask what is wrong with children having imaginations? Just because my niece has a invisible lion-friend named Aslan doesn't mean it's evil.
As for AD&D, it's a GAME. My sister in law, who is a fervent Baptist is a DM, as is my brother. A game, nothing more.
In my opinion, you are giving books and games far too much credit.
