Why do Christians hate the theory of evolution?

no, LittleLambofJesus, we don't (not in any way that God says matters).

scientists are motivated by greed (money), so will develop a mountain of false evidence built on lies but very convincing to the naive (see what the drug industry has done?).

remember God hates the lies propagated by false theories , so Christians hate the lies too. God will deal with it. Don't worry about those things. and never believe those things contrary to His Perfect Complete Word.

statements trying to relate the people God created to animals should not even be allowed - He forbids making images to serve(worship) and He forbids serving the creation instead of serving the Creator!

Trust God and ignore the pagans.

A few thoughts:
- May I recommend showing some respect for a competing view points because it is strictly by God's grace that you hold the view point you do, not by any work you have done.

- Now if a mountain of evidence, full of logical fallacies and lies has been trumped up by the scientific community, I expect that without the use of the bible you should be able to burn their house of lies down using only science, would you be willing to do so?

- the same scientific process is common to all of the disciplines, in fact the same assumptions that under pin carbon dating also underpin stable nuclear fusion. How close do you live to your power plant? The same basic skeletal mechanical assumptions we make that underpin evolution also underpin prosthetic knees, hips, legs ect. were you in need, would you refuse one of these? So if all KNOWLEDGE good counsel and wisdom is of God, where does this fit?

- finally you put a false polarity between science and God as if to forget that God made all things and that science is the study of the world around us.

God is not your literal or allegorical interpretation of the bible. God is sovereign and in our limited capacity we attempt to see him, as best we can, through a glass darkly! please approach your theology and the theology of your PEERS with humility and the knowledge that you are certainly wrong about something.

I will not argue to the allegorical interpretation of the Genesis account because it is beating a dead horse on this forum, but you must concede the possibility that in your humanity you could have failed to correctly apprehend the bible's real message

there was a time and a day when not one single person who professed with their mouth, from their heart, that Jesus is Lord.
would ever even consider this a topic to debate.
what has happened to belief and faith?

too many have leaned on their own understanding..
I'm sticking with God on this .
if he says with him nothing is impossible... i believe him.

you?

There was a time when every Christian believed the sun revolved around the earth. What has happened to faith?

Nothing. Stop equating things that are not comparable. Just because a Christian believes in science doesn't mean they have less "faith". This dead horse has been thoroughly beaten on this thread.

It's still there, but apparently not in the form you would like.

I have faith enough to know that, as a follower of Christ, whether you believe in any form of evolution or not doesn't make a bit of difference to anyone's salvation.

did i say it did?
you see when some doubt the word of God, in any form, an interesting flow on effect happens .they start trying to tell us gays are born that way, they evolved differently i suppose..a 3rd species..
the point is ,unbelief opens the way for deception.
if God declared in 6 days he made it... and it doesn't fit our understanding ..so instead of taking God at his word ,we come up with theories..we sin.for he says "trust in the lord with all thine heart and lean not on thy own understanding"..

so the implication of theistic evolution is what message?
-do not trust in the lord with all thine heart and lean - on thy own understanding"..?

consider... what exactly are you preaching?

Faith in God is not the same as faith in your interpretation of Genesis!! The more you treat it as if it is, the more theistic evolutionists are lumped in with atheistic evolutionists causing many evolutionists to believe they could not be Christians.

You either knowingly create a false polarity here or you genuinely are so very impressed with YOUR understanding of scripture that you have decided that no competing belief could be held by any believer who has faith in God. For a theistic evolutionist this constitutes a personal attack. can you see why that might be?

I would appreciate it if you made you case about the issues without name calling, mockery or questioning the faith of your PEERS

- Do you have scriptural support for a strictly literal interpretation of the Genesis account? Chapter and verse?

- Do you have science debunking the evolutionary position? a study with author from a legitimate institution?

- Do you exclude the possibility that God used evolution to form are world and if so why?

- Is it not leaning on your own understanding to infer that a given passage should be literal or allegorical and as such are those inferences not suspect?

if its not literal why does it say from dust what is the metaphor that pertains to evolution?

Michael it would appear you have now come under fire and here i thought you were the ref:p

I find it interesting TE people say the Bible is not literal yet offer no explanation to what it means then, one admitted she did not understand it, so if that is the answer of the others why do they question those who have faith and do know? things that make you go hmmm:D

in all the hurried replies ..and flood of distracting questions.none answered the end of this quoted post below
also, nothing any one has stated has caused me to think my faith is in question, why would any one think theirs is? is it so uncertain..?
