as least said both spiritual and body death enter the world that day, Adam would not have died ever had he not eaten so on that day mark two deaths, his spiritual and body even though the body would take 900 years to die he started to die that day.
And God told him now his body would die with "from dust you came and to dust you will return". Note the from dust not ape, chimp, monkey or what ever else you want to call it.

Let me help a baby starts to die from birth so you could say it is dying, however death will not happen for many years, so God said this to assure to Adam it would happen "from dust you came to dust you will return". Now the child is not dying of disease but you could say from sickness , Sin, Sin will cause the babies death Just like Adams.
The literalist reading doesn't say "you will begin dying the day you eat the fruit". It says "Surely on that day YOU WILL DIE".
He did on that day spiritual and that was also the day of his bodies death because from that point his body started to die. You should pray over the word a bit so you can see clearly.

If you want to remain a literalist you must read that and conclude that Adam died on that 24 hour period.
Not just that he would die eventually.

But that ON THAT DAY (literalist interpretation = 24 hours = yom) he would DIE.
Hint: the hebrew word used for "die" in Gen 2:17 is the VERY SAME WORD used to explain Adam's death, 930 years later, in Gen 5:5.

We don't (I hope not)..HATE is such a strong word and an utter waste of time for a Christian.

I think you need to reread what your text implies:
