These things are not useless. The gallbladder serves an important function. Some don't have problems when it's removed, but many do, of varying degrees of seriousness.I've got to get some gallbladder testing done because it's causing me some discomfort. It may or may not have to be removed. As most people are aware, we can live without it. That got me thinking about other things such as the appendix (which is especially useless and heinous, as it does literally nothing but can take your life) and tonsils. Things that are mostly useless and pointless but can cause severe problems. Why? Why even create them?
The appendix, we were told for decades, was a vestigial organ serving no purpose. But now they discover that it acts as a repository for good bacteria in the colon. When the colon is purged of its contents, through sickness or antibiotics, afterward the appendix reseeds it with a stored microbiome sample. These beneficial microbes are critical to good health.
The spleen cleanses the blood of dead red blood cells. Yes, the body can perform that function in other ways, but not as efficiently. If you ever have Babesia, or any other disease attacking red blood cells, having your spleen intact could well be the difference between life and death.
Tonsils I don't know about.
There are many ways to deal with problems with these organs, through foods and herbals. If you're having gallbladder problems I would start with daily ingestion of beets, and also celery.
