I see no reason that it couldn't become endemic. Meaning that a vaccine is going to be an ongoing need.

Be interesting to see what happens to anti-vaxx movements if that ended up being the case... :/

Unless it mutates like the flu. Then you could be at risk every year, or even once every few weeks, if the mutation rate is higher.
I have addressed this once that particular strain.

We may not have a vaccine for over 4 years, and even then it may only reduce the chance of infection by around 50%.

I suspect they'll claim the pandemic was engineered by governments or Big Pharma to increase the vaccination rate for whatever nefarious purposes they have (or just plain profit) - or even to kill off the brave vaccination resistance heroes...

Wow, you can be infectious for up to 24 days and not even know it!

Also, if your economy isn't shut down yet here is how you calculate the infection rate:-
Multiply by 10 every 16 days.
Get a calendar, and look at your state's infection numbers today.
Go multiply by 10 and write it in 16 days from now.
Do it again.
Do it again.
Do a few months worth.
If that doesn't convince you it's time to go totally WUHAN LOCKDOWN on this, I don't know what will.

If there is a shortage of hand-sanitizers and antiseptic wipes in your area due to hoarding or panic buying, it might help to know that 0.1% bleach (5% household bleach diluted 50 to 1) is known to kill other coronaviruses, so should be effective against CV19. At this dilution, it's strong enough to smell the bleach, but it won't do your skin any harm - although it's wise to wear disposable gloves when cleaning, anyway.

To help delay infection: when you enter the house, wash your hands, then put on the gloves and wipe down anything you brought back with you that may have been touched - including your mobile, keys, eyeglasses, and carrier bag handles and contents...

Or not - it's your choice.

Hope! This is *very* interesting! Easy, familiar, HIV & Malaria tablets mass produced in many nations seem to fight it back! Imagine being able to reduce that 10% hospitalisation rate by isolating at home and taking some pills? No time for flippancy though as it could take a month or so to get up and running.

On the topic of anti-malaria, which is to say quinine, which is to say tonic water, which is to say gin and tonic. Apparently people have been adding vitamin C tablets and calling it...

a Quarantini.
