It is very cool to know the scientific terms for each stage of human development in the womb...but they are still stages of HUMAN development. At every stage, from fertilization to full term infant, it is a human life, and it is precious. To kill it is to take a human life..in other words, it is murder, pure and simple.

The fact that you do not mourn their loss when it occurs naturally exposes a discrepancy in your emotional response to the zygote. I'm guessing that you don't pray for God to save all the zygotes that spontaneously abort.

You're getting desperate.
Most of the time, the woman doesn't even know there was a zygote. Lots of times, if we could investigate, we'd find that there was a good reason why that particular zygote did not implant.

OTOH, I have known of situations where a miscarriage was, indeed, an occasion for sadness. And yes, I have prayed for the couple, in such cases.

The more I hear from you, the happier I am that I am not an atheist.

I would consider coitus without giving a thought to the possible consequences downright stupid.
I would consider coitus with a partner you barely know and have absolutely no intention of trying to build a life with irresponsible, and, yes, downright stupid.
The intent should be to make love, not just have an [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse].
I'm going to assume that the couple would be using reliable birth control if they don't want a child, right? Otherwise "stupid" doesn't even begin to cover it.
And I would expect a loving couple to be prepared to be parents "just in case".

Yes, I did. It absolutely depends on the mother in order to properly function. It isn't a child.

Now I'll state my stance. I'm pro-choice. Women should have the right to have control over their bodily choices. Their reasons concern me not. And that's because there's plenty of valid reasons to have an abortion and there are some that are just vile.

Do I like the idea? No. But It's not my decision to make.

And it's far more reasonable to have it done via professional procedures than alternative, hap hazardous methods. Because like the ridiculous idea of prohibition, outlawing it will only increase the rate of it happening. We've learned from this.
