Just don't act like you're some kind of spokesman on either side of an issue.

But hateful Christians certainly make it know that they believe gays are sinning and will go to hell.

In the decade and a half here, I've spoken VERY LITTLE on this particular supject; usually quoting the saying:

"Hate the sin, convert the sinner."

Or is making their lives unpleasant in this world supposed to give them a sneak preview of the next one?

If I tell someone they should stop smoking, am I "making their lives unpleasant"?

For some reason, I get the point you're not qualified to tell a Christian his shoes are untied.

Regarding science and evolution, however, your naked contempt comes through loud and clear as a foghorn.

Some might find your persistence in the face of continual failure admirable... others might suggest you use the opportunity to reassess your methodology.

How many laws have you lobbied for to outlaw smoking? How many children have you thrown out of your own house for lighting up? How many of them have you looked down on as, thought of as, and called to their faces hellbound abominations for their smoking lifestyle?

Probably none -- you, like many others, claim to differentiate the sin from the sinner, and perhaps unlike many others, you make a sincere effort to actually do so... no small compliment, given my opinion that your sincerity on scientific matters is matched in most others.

But even if you do make such an attempt, it does not work in this case, because your analogy is flawed -- cigarettes are a habit, nothing more. Let us not derail the thread further.

It's dangerous when people mistake WARNINGS for HARASSMENT.

It leads to nothing more than driving a wedge between two factions that doesn't belong there.
