You are right LOVE is the real reason why there is no religion in the SDA denomination, but far too many get offended when they are lovingly corrected. Jesus said "as many as I love I rebuke and chasten" we are to call sin by it's right name. The lovey dovey peace and safety gospel is driving spirituality out of the hearts of "believers" and replace it with emotional sentimentalism. Playing on the heart strings has been going on for at least the last hundred years. The leaders of babylon know very well that using emotions as a tool to gain followers, and thus more money is very effective, and in the process is also setting up the image of the beast.

Correct them... but correct yourself first...

Matthew 7King James Version (KJV)

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

This is the main reason the church is in the condition it is in. Far too many have no idea what these verses mean. I lay my life on the alter every morning, and confess all my sins and have no bitterness toward anybody. When the Lord convicts me to admonish someone I cannot hold back. Too many in church hold to these verses out of context and have been doing it for so long they cannot even hear the voice of conviction any more. I desire to be corrected, I want people to tell me when I am doing something wrong, or offending them, but NOOOO they all back stab because of the legalistic attitude toward the verses that tell us not to judge. When we confess our sins and know that we have no bitterness nor animosity toward anybody the beam is gone! I would do what Jesus said in John:15:13.

This is the problem with the Laodiceans who are blind and naked walking in darkness. When someone is turning on the light, they will shout them down to turn off the light. Let the words of the prophet admonish the Laodiceans.

"The greatest want of the world is the want of men,—men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall."—Education, 57 (1903).

"Many are continually saying, 'All that we have to do is to believe in Christ.' They claim that faith is all we need. In its fullest sense, this is true; but they do not take it in the fullest sense. To believe in Jesus is to take him as our redeemer and our pattern. If we abide in him and he abides in us, we are partakers of his divine nature, and are doers of his word. The love of Jesus in the heart will lead to obedience to all his commandments. But the love that goes no farther than the lips, is a delusion; it will not save any soul. Many reject the truths of the Bible, while they profess great love for Jesus; but the apostle John declares, 'He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.' While Jesus has done all in the way of merit, we ourselves have something to do in the way of complying with the conditions. 'If ye love me,' said our Saviour, 'keep my commandments.'" {HS 188.5}

"I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen, and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this will cause a shaking among God's people. There are those among us who will make confessions, as did Achan, too late to save themselves. . .They are not in harmony with right. They despise the straight testimony that reaches the heart, and would rejoice to see everyone silenced who gives reproof. The Lord calls for a renewal of the straight testimony borne in years past. He calls for a renewal of spiritual life. The spiritual energies of His people have long been torpid, but there is to be a resurrection from apparent death. By prayer and confession of sin we must clear the King's highway. ---Last Day Events, P171-176

One of the favorite things my kids say is 'Don't judge me'. That's what they learn in their schools. These days, everyone wants to do whatever they want and no one can tell them it's wrong. The church is no different from the world in any sense.

Those verses are always mis-quoted. They do not say 'Don't judge'. They're actually saying if you judge, you'd better not be guilty of the same thing. Don't be a hypocrite.

Bible tells us to check the fruits. And spiritual man judges all things.
1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

If I'm witnessing you go into the bank with ski-mask and come running out with a bag full of money and alarm going off behind. I'm not judging. I'm merely bearing witness to your act.

On the other hand I'm open to correction. Show me from the bible where I'm wrong. How else could we learn and grow? Lets reason together. And if I'm right, it's an opportunity for me to win some souls.

I agree! The world has the church so wrapped up in "don't judge" and "remove the beam first" that nobody will step up to the plate to correct the errors that has kept Jesus from coming for over 100 years. We are wondering in the wilderness over this, and until God's people, His remnant who keep His commandments and the faith of Jesus, NOT the structure who are baptizing homosexuals and ordaining women, stand up and sound the alarm and blow the trumpet in Zion we will be stuck on the sin sick planet.

Most of God's church have no idea what righteousness by faith is. The rejected it in 1888 and they have not accepted it still. When we ask the Lord to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness and have no animosity toward anybody we have removed the beam from our eyes. When we would decide to lay down our life for that person we are correcting, or to them "judging", that is removing the beam from our eye. Personally I have been praying for years that the Lord would lay me to rest. Like Paul said in Philippians:1:21: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." What better way to go then to lay down our life for our brethren. I desire more than anything to find a Christian friend that will correct me when I am heading in the wrong direction. I live in a town where there are church buildings on every corner but not a Christian to be found. They all go on their merry way content with their own righteousness Isaiah 4:1, and their own doctrine. To try to move them, even in the most loving way, ruffles their feathers and they scream JUDGING!

It is good to know that there are some one here that know what righteousness by faith really is. We need encouragement from each other amidst the attacks on sites like these. It is only going to get worse from here on out.

God bless you and yours Overcomer

What do you mean by an independent SDA church?
I'd suggest you find an independent SDA church and find some fellowship there.

It means what it means.

An independent SDA church is a church that is not affiliated with the general conference whose members's beliefs are held more closely to the SDA pioneers'.
In that case, they are not a SDA church and can't use that denominational name, as they would be in violation of the copyright laws in using that denominational name.

We have one around the corner here, it basically is a church that the conference doesn't accept the minister/credentials, and for sound reason. The Free SDA ones seem to be more on the Historic bent.

It seems to be the case, and the members are NOT baptized into the regular SDA church as we found out the hard way.
