Why are Seventh day Adventists so out of harmony?

I am amazed at how many Seventh day Adventists are on this site yet how little they encourage and agree with each other. There was, is and always will be one church! God's people will all be on the same page before the latter rain can fall. Paul tells us that we must all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among God's people. The unity that the disciples had before pentecost was not something that miraculously happened. They were in the upper room for ten days after Jesus ascended. What were they doing? Idly waiting? NO! They were praying, confessing and most likely fasting with tears for all the indifference they displayed toward each other while Jesus was with them. The day Jesus ascended they were arguing about who will be the greatest. Is that attitude among God's people today? The latter rain will not be poured out on those who have not had the former rain experience, which is the upper room experience where they were all in one place in one accord and held everything in common. In other words they felt that everything they had belonged to the church not self!

I have been earnestly praying for a home church and an outpost ministry. I have come across some who have the same thoughts and desires but they are waiting for something. Some even tell me that when the national SUNday law comes they will start to work for the Lord. By then it will be too late for the SDA denomination. That is when the sheep are separated from the goats and the work goes on, and that is when the 144k are sealed through the affliction of the no buy sell law. But to be waiting on the NSL to prepare one to receive the latter rain is not going to happen.

God is looking for 144,000 Christians to seal for His finishing work of bringing in the great multitude. Where will you be?

The SDA denomination is the fastest growing Christian church and the 5th largest Christian denomination world wide according to Christianity Today - so then that means there are in fact SDAs that are out there evangelizing. You say you are meeting a few that are sidetracked - but we need not all be sidetracked

Can two walk together except they be agreed? How could there be unity without being united in the same message God gave them in 1843, 1844 as a people?

I'd contend to you that the vast majority of the 144000 are already sealed and are waiting for the living saints to take up the few remaining spots.

Why should I believe there will ever be a corporate outpouring on the laodicean church?

We need to be sounding the trumpet in Zion to warn of the coming sword or the blood of those we do not warn and could will be on our hands, Ezekiel 3 & 33.

I have been shown that the greatest reason why the people of God are now found in this state of spiritual blindness is that they will not receive correction. Many have despised the reproofs and warnings given them. The True Witness condemns the lukewarm condition of the people of God, which gives Satan great power over them in this waiting, watching time. The selfish, the proud, and the lovers of sin are ever assailed with doubts. Satan has ability to suggest doubts and to devise objections to the pointed testimony that God sends, and many think it a virtue, a mark of intelligence in them, to be unbelieving and to question and quibble. Those who desire to doubt will have plenty of room. God does not propose to remove all occasion for unbelief. He gives evidence, which must be carefully investigated with a humble mind and a teachable spirit, and all should decide from the weight of evidence. – {3T 255.1}

This is why it's so difficult to reach the Laodiceans.

I weep as I read this! My heart has been shattered by my church "family" of 25 years. My mom died in 2005 and the church was somewhat helpful. BUT when my son died 6 months later they were nowhere to be found. I have been very alone ever since. I even attended church for about 2 years after he died just to be treated like I deserve his death. I sigh and cry all the time when I think of the "church". My "friends" are so deceived into thinking they are being fed with the lovey dovey peace and safety gospel that I just weep tears. I try all I can to share the real Jesus with them. The Jesus that is revealed in the book of revelation, THAT Jesus! But they look at me funny and presume that just because I am not a pastor and I do not have man made credentials I do not know what I am talking about. The only reason for this rebellion is the love of sin! Here is what Sister White says about it. "Disguise it as they may, the real cause of doubt and skepticism, in most cases, is the love of sin. The teachings and restrictions of God’s word are not welcome to the proud, sin-loving heart, and those who are unwilling to obey its requirements are ready to doubt its authority. In order to arrive at truth, we must have a sincere desire to know the truth and a willingness of heart to obey it. And all who come in this spirit to the study of the Bible will find abundant evidence that it is God’s word, and they may gain an understanding of its truths that will make them wise unto salvation." { SC 111.1}

God bless you!

I'm sorry for what you went through. I know how you feel, at least on the parts of feeling alone in the church. I have a few friends in the area who hold similar beliefs. We lean on each other for support. Where are you located? I'd suggest you find an independent SDA church and find some fellowship there.

The Laodiceans are those who walk naked in the darkness. Anyone who turns the light on them will not be welcomed by the masses. They will be shouted down, rejected and persecuted. Jesus said 'ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake'. This is the way we have chosen. It's not an easy walk. 'He that endureth to the end shall be saved'. That's the promise.

I appreciate your concern and encouragement. God knows there should be much more of that on this site and all other sites like this. We Christians needs each other. Jesus sent out His disciples two by two for that reason. If one should fall the other would be there for encouragement. The church will be comprised of people who do this. Like Paul wrote in 1Corinthians:1:10: "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." The division I have witnessed among ALL Christians of ALL denominations is astounding. The excuses I get for this lack of unity probably make Jesus weep. Jesus is coming for a people who are doing this. There is only one word of God (KJV bible) and it is revealed by the Comforter (John 14:26) the same to all. There are no private opinions nor interpretations when we realize this fact. Far too many professors of Christianity (churchians) want to insert their self righteous genius and call that the moving of the Holy Spirit.

I live in Paradise CA. A place where there is a church on every corner and not a Christian in sight! There are no independent churches even close that I know of. I have been trying to get out of here for a long time. I am waiting on VA disability and I cannot work like I am use to. I have always been a Hard worker. I owned my own business all my life. I enjoy hard work but I was in accidents while in the navy and when I broke my leg they injected me with something into my spine that I must be allergic to because my spine feels like it is rotting sometimes and it is getting harder for me to walk as time goes by.

I sent e mails to hundreds of SDA churches. I sent them one of the RH articles that Sister White wrote titled "the Laodicean condition". This article is very long it is in three parts in the RH, but I only sent part one. I got one response and that was for me to remove them from my e mail list. There is a list of e mail addresses for every SDA church in the world. After about a week of sending e mails to no avail I just stopped. I didn't even get through all of the CA churches. I felt like it was a waste of time. If you have the EGW database find that article and read it. It is so eye opening, and tragic. It put a fire under me for a while, until the lack of response kind of dowsed the flame a bit. I am always seeking ways to reach out to God's people in every denomination. God's church is in every denomination, and when the second angel's message is proclaimed they will join the ranks of the church in the wilderness, which is where God's church has always been. Those who think that the structure will go through are gravely mistaken!

There is a home church in Sacramento. Google maps says 1 hr 40 min. I got it off this list.
historicchurches

It's not exactly close. But might be worth a try.

I also know Danny Vierra in Lodi CA. He runs an Adventist lifestyle center Home - Detox Your Body | Health Tips | How to be healthy | Cleansing and Detoxification - Modern Manna. Might want to give him a call to see if he can help with the physical health.

Not that these independent SDAs got everything right, but at least they are much more inclined to our traditional teachings and they don't cherish sins unlike the mainstream SDA churches.

When Ellen White wrote about the church, she was talking about the commandment keeping people, not the general church goers. The general conference lured them into a false sense of security thinking if they go to church on the right day, pay their tithe and agree with the 28 fundamental beliefs which our pioneers rejected, they are secure. Not knowing when Jesus went into the Most Holy place, they didn't follow, Satan sat down and is now whom they are worshipping! And that's the omega apostasy!

My car is not very dependable. It needs too much work.

I have been to Danny's camp meetings in Lodi and last year I prayed with him over something he was promoting and even though he does know the message and even preached one of the best sermons on righteousness by faith I have ever heard he needs prayers.

How would one find a home church or a company anyway? There has to be something close to me, but I have never heard of any, but then with the ministry situation the way it is many ministries don't even pray about who they invite in. I have e mailed many ministries to get involved with them. I just want to grow a large garden to support them. Most of them, especially SDA will not even acknowledge my e mail. The ones that do are so quick to come back with an answer that I know they did not pray about it.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Yes, I have met Danny a few times. One of my friends went to his 10 day program. He does need prayers. None of us is beyond temptations.

Another option may be the teleconferencing/online sabbath worship with Need a Church??.

And through them possibly find like-minded believers in your area.

Maybe for the orthodox. Then they can't even hold an umbrella in the rain. Nothing has changed.
Of course they can. They set up an eruv.

One word...............

John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John 13:35
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 15:12
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

John 15:17
These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Romans 12:10
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Romans 13:8
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Galatians 5:13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Ephesians 4:2
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

1 Thessalonians 3:12
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

1 Thessalonians 4:9
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

Hebrews 10:24
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

1 Peter 1:22
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

1 Peter 3:8
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

1 John 3:11
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

1 John 3:23
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 4:11
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

1 John 4:12
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

2 John 1:5
And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

One word...............

You are right LOVE is the real reason why there is no religion in the SDA denomination, but far too many get offended when they are lovingly corrected. Jesus said "as many as I love I rebuke and chasten" we are to call sin by it's right name. The lovey dovey peace and safety gospel is driving spirituality out of the hearts of "believers" and replace it with emotional sentimentalism. Playing on the heart strings has been going on for at least the last hundred years. The leaders of babylon know very well that using emotions as a tool to gain followers, and thus more money is very effective, and in the process is also setting up the image of the beast.
