You think that i'm possibly wrong that Magicians are not doing real magic?Ah, you're an expert.
Even if the story/universe is based on witchcraft, horror, magic.. it's completely harmless because it is fantasy.Especially Harry Potter which is witchcraft.

Indeed.Hollywood is trying to desensitize them to witchcraft.
I think you're wrong in thinking that real magick or however you want to call it, is impossible and never occurs and never has occurred. You think that i'm possibly wrong that Magicians are not doing real magic?
I think you're wrong in thinking that real magick or however you want to call it, is impossible and never occurs and never has occurred.
But i assume you have never seen it happen in real life, or as a random participant.
That would definitely change your mind.
I happen to have been a random participant.
So i know impossible things are possible, and people (in my case a "street yogi", for lack of a better term) do it for money.
They probably pay a price themselves though..
i actually referenced the subject. You referenced "Demon Magicians" as if it is a reliable documentary.
your argumentation sucks. Not only did that show that you are easily fooled by the most amateur of video edits but how you don't even research before buying into things. Even children know those magicians don't have any real superpowers.
Perhaps there is a small number of Christians who take Christ and the bible seriously and the rest say they are but are still conformed to the ways of the world. I'd call it luke-warm Christianity.
Whatever the reason, pretty much everything of and in the world that is loved and accepted has some kind of anti-christ or anti-christian influence behind it.
For instance, story-telling in movies counterfeit the good parts of the Christian story such as having a saviour (a super hero), or an orphan who is adopted into a family, or that our 'one and only' is a man or woman to make us complete, or someone sacrifices their life for another.
I think it's not taken seriously in churches or among Christians because people like to follow the herd and are peer pressured into following the culture of the world because they want to be liked.
It's very difficult to counter culture the word's culture because you will be rejected just as Christ was rejected.
In regards to magic, it's modern day influences are from Alister Crowley's book of Magick. Apparently Scientology stems from it. The religion of Thelema.
Sorry, Cis.jd, but I, personally, think that you view is very naive. Nothing against you, but, we are in a spiritual battle and demons bring fame and fortune to those that honor them, instead of God, in order to deceive the world.Black Art is a magic technique that involves darkened light, meaning on a dark stage. It's nothing connected to anything supernatural.
Mike Super, Lim, etc "saying it/admitting" is what you call a gimmick. Most perform/theater artists do something called Kayfabe, which is means remaining in character. Watch videos on how they did that.
The line is blurred isn't it? Where does entertainment and a skilled person of "slight of hand and simple card tricks end and the use of demons and occult begin. You're talking about fictional magic? or magic that you think is real? Do you lump in things here ("magic") that are unexplained phenomenon?
Your point?Satan and demons sell, they are great advertising.
Have you ever heard of Mike Warnke, Christian evangelist and comedian?
His claim to fame was Satan and demons as well and it made him millions of dollars.
In 1972, Warnke's book The Satan Seller was released. Written by Warnke, with help from Balsiger and Les Jones, the book tells of Warnke being orphaned as a child and his introduction into Satanism. Further detailed is Warnke's participation in sexual orgies, alcoholism, and drug dealing; his rise in the ranks of Satanism to the level of "high priest"; presiding over Satanic rituals including magical spells, summoning demons, ritual sex including a ritual kidnap and rape; the attempt on his life — a heroin overdose — that left him angry and disillusioned; his heroism in Vietnam; and how he found Jesus and came home as an evangelist. The story ends with Warnke living happily in California with wife Sue Studer. In fewer than three months after the release, The Satan Seller had become a religious best-seller.[1]
....
On May 16, 1985, Warnke appeared in a prime-time news report about Satanism on ABC's 20/20. In the show's episode titled "The Devil Worshippers", Warnke was included in a number of segments where he discussed the implements and clothing used in Satanic ceremonies, a scar allegedly indicating where he was repeatedly cut so that his blood could be used in Satanic ceremonies, and what drew him to Satanism.[9]
He traveled around the country doing shows, he made albums wrote more books, etc. Christian magazines wrote about and interviewed him.
He was a Fake, his whole story about this was debunked. He was never in Satanism at all, let alone as a 'high priest'.
But claiming that he was set him apart, got him recognition, and made him lots of money.

I don't agree.I didn't go over this entire thread either, but I figured I'd say my piece. While everyone is focused on what people shouldn't do, let's look at magic in another way. Are not the words and actions we perpetuate every day more powerful than the fiction we choose to consume?
If I wish someone well and add joy to their life, that is like casting a light spell on them. The power resides in my will and action, because God says our words have power. Making someone smile uses more power than 800 billion copies of Superman. Why? Because our strength through God, whose power is unlimited, is the only way we can do good in our lives.
When I choose my own way and do harm in my life and the lives of others, it is like casting dark magic. Angry, hateful words, prideful words... these are like casting dark spells. So let us not worry as much about fictional elements that God may find offensive, let us instead worry more about what actions we are taking (and the ones we may be missing) every day. You cast magic simply by the words you speak and the attitude you live by.
There is nothing harmful with the story of Harry potter. The problem is that it peaks the curiosity of young children in the religion of Wicca.Especially Harry Potter which is witchcraft.
Seriously, that is exactly the way Satan wants you to think. It is not witchcraft. It is fictional with fictional words making up spells that don't actually work.
Look at the statistics... they do not lie... an upsurge in those involve in Wicca and other related religion since 1998 when Harry Potter was released. When it comes to kids and reading, you bet your bottom dollar!
I will get over it only if you do first! To be honest, I really don't have anything to get over. I'm not maligning Harry Potter, I merely stated that if people are going to malign Harry Potter, than other things should be as well.
If you care about "real world problems" and you have children... you will care when they stop going to church, come home with black eye shadow and tell you that they were playing with a ouija board..... you will care.I actually have real world problems to worry about, not fictional children's characters with made up words.
Well, there is the difference... You will sit your kids down and explain that witchcraft is real and very dangerous and that God is the ultimate power and that the occult and witchcraft is the work of Satan?Oh I do, and I am right there with my own making sure they understand the difference between what is real and what isn't.
My hope is that other parents are doing the same.
Great post. Not many see this.I Especially liked-"Whatever the reason, pretty much everything of and in the world that is loved and accepted has some kind of anti-christ or anti-christian influence behind it."
I had been a Catholic Christian my whole life until my dad died. Then I read the bible from beginning to end. And absorbed it. And loved it. Now, there is a constant battle in my head, because to really get away from evil, you have to leave the world. We are swimming in evil. Magic, Santa Clause, Easter egg hunts, "Anything goes" denominations, Astrology, Celebrity worship, Sports worship etc. I almost destroyed myself trying to live pure. I avoid evil when I can. I try to help others when I can. And I "draw the line" when it comes to anything occult. But your statement above about the world being antichrist, is spot on. I was raised on rock and roll. I was also born and raised in Memphis Tennessee. My Uncles went to school with Elvis. And I witnessed how he changed the entire world, myself included. Music is spiritually powerful. Much more than folks realize. After I read the Bible, I read the lyrics to all my favorite groups. And I discovered that rock and roll is very anti-christian. Some groups were very anti-christian. I have had to learn to moderate my thirst for holiness, because its not here. I have changed my choice of music groups to those who do not glorify evil. And pray for God to have his day and defend his name soon, or give me the strength to make it to my death. "Magic" is engrained in alot of lyrics in r n r. And Disney. We just have to find a way to be moderate, and prudent, as to what is just living in an evil world and getting by, Or consumed by it and part of it. Our home is not here. Sorry for rambling. Peace
Score... one more point for Satan... "It's harmless fantasy"..... Boom... "another one bites the dust"You think that i'm possibly wrong that Magicians are not doing real magic?
Even if the story/universe is based on witchcraft, horror, magic.. it's completely harmless because it is fantasy.
