When a cigar shop clerk told Adam Zaborowski on Friday he had to wear a mask in the shop, the 35-year-old angrily refused. Instead, he grabbed two stogies, stormed outside — and then pulled a handgun and shot at the clerk, Bethlehem Township, Pa., police said.

The next day, cornered near his home, Zaborowski allegedly fired at police with an AK-47, sparking a wild shootout with at least seven officers that ended with him shot multiple times and under arrest.

Also, the Hong Kong flu had several waves with almost disappearing in the summer between them, unlike Corona, which is happily murdering americans in the heat.

There was some residual immunity in the population due to a similar flu outbreak in the late 1950's. Some of the deaths were due to less sophisticated care available for the secondary complications like infections.

I disagree...

First, the mask prevents nothing.. nothing at all... you won't buy a mask that is even allowed to claim it will reduce your chances of anything at all, because you can't tell an outright lie when selling a product, nor can you make unproven medical claims.

That is the rights point. A mask is a virtue signal, and has no other use whatever. The left is simply addicted to virtue signaling.

And for me, it's more than inconvenient to pass out while grocery shopping and then have to be carted off via ambulance to the local ER....

What drivel is this? Do some homework. Masks that are commonly available to provide some protection. Nobody is claiming 100% effectiveness for masks.

This thought process is non-existant on the left... for some reason they feel certain they would live forever if they avoided any and all situations of risk, and the powers that be seem to use people's fear of death as a means to control the masses.

Noone on the left believes that people will live forever.
Getting people to face the challenge of this pandemic is for the purposes of saving lives, it's not a power grab.
Once you get that spread under control your country will open right back up.

It's like them complaining that the Russia investigation was a left hoax. They don't care that the investigation was started by the FBI not the Democrats, by Comey who was/is a republican supporter and then carried on by Rossenstein who was a Republican member and hired Mueller who was/is a republican supporter.
They just don't care, they want to blame everything on the left. If you watch Fox News its all about the left vs the right, us vs them. All woes come down to people on the left causing all issues.

I am not against mask wearing. At all.

I am simply arguing that we’re seeing a level of panic here with this virus that is unprecedented, and seems to be not fully necessary.

Your right it is not fully understood. We have been lied to so much and it has been made completely political that no one knows where to turn anymore. If this political tribalism crap keeps someday we will have an extinction level event and no one will believe it. There is a huge fire in my area right now and people have to evacuate but I am surprised there are not people saying it's a liberal conspiracy or a conservative conspiracy and that we have fires all the time. I am just sick of the whole thing and can understand why some commit suicide

Yet there's no peer reviewed studies (that thing called real science) saying they do anything to help prevent the spread of the virus!

So it's like a great big fat "we hope it helps, but under normal conditions it won't do a darn thing, but wear a mask anyway because it makes us feel better to tell you to do something"...

And the left eays it for breakfast because they get to say "oh look at how much we care about humanity" while promoting the wholesale slaughter of infants.

If I was a left winger I'd feel the need to wear a mask and say look how great I am too... there's got to be some huge guilt complex in voting democrat these days.
